yes. specially if the race is successful in life, then they must be doing something worth doing! Example Chinese. I have never met a chinese helper, a domestic chinese helper. NEVER! But I have met successful business owner, a successful chinese restaurateur, a chinese successful jeweler. So I guess, the chinese has been doing something worth emulating.

I am a Chinese. There are many beliefs here in our culture, some of which have been followed for thousands of years. So, sometimes they are considered as traditions that you have to follow no matter whether you believe them or not. For me, actually I don't believe that the numbers or dates can bring good luck to people or the business, but I have to follow them. Because most people believe so and then you are believing subconsciously. In fact, every nation has their own beliefs. They are the culture of that nation, which shouldn't be considered wrong or right. We just need to follow them and then get the confidence and wishes.

Hello asliah good day..for me I don't believe in any superstitious belief because only God knows our future, everything and anything because He is the supreme creator. All of these beliefs and traditions were just taught and passed to us from our forefathers. If we believe on them, what's the use of serving God? What's the use of praying to Him? Well, you must be an atheist if you won't believe God exist. Nice day ahead... Mobhomeir here..

I do believe some chinese traditional belief. Like having a fortune bamboo in your house, will give goodluck. Then that is correct. Or even chimes for a good love life. :) but what matters is all prayers make it happen to all the things we asks.

From my understanding, the Chinese must select a right good date and time to start their new business, to move in a new home, to start their business on the first day after the Chinese New Year and so on. Not everyone has the same right and good date. Normally, there a book or calender for us to check. The selection of the date and time is closely related to the age and the birth date of the person involved. We can consult the personnels at the Chinese temple to check and get the right date and time. By doing so, we hope to get less obstruction and better prosperous in our business later.

I don't. But I do see a lot of businesses who run based on Chinese beliefs run successfully. Maybe one day I'll try these things.

I think it is some unavoidable thing which everyone follow after they know about it. When a person is told that these dates are lucky for you then even if their is no logic behind it one would surely do the specific work on those specific dates. I also read some astrology and I know that some numbers are told to be lucky for me so if possible I like to do my special work on those lucky dates.

As to chinese, you must not make sweeping generalization.I am a chinese too but I am far from believing in that.It is true that here there are a lot of taboos, for instance, figure 4,13,are not regarded as being lucky,People who want to get married must select propitious date .I wonder what difference the date that they select what is called luckly day makes as compared with other day.I think they not that purely worry about troubles of their own imagining but that follow the crowd.

Some of them but not most. I believe in those i think have some scientific basis. Like their belief in consuming plenty of vegetable broth when they are not feeling well like in colds or head ache. This is because water is very helpful in flashing micro organisms in the body. So i believe in it. But for other Chinese beliefs such as putting candles in front of their door, I do not. To them maybe, that is important but I do not see anything good at it.

Hi Asliah. The place where i stay in the southern part of India a lot of people seem to prefer the number 9.It is said to be auspicious and bring good luck.I tried this number but no great fortune or luck came to me as result of it.I think its more superstition than actual fact.

Although I personally do not use numbers for business decisions, I can tell you many in my culture truly do not do business or wedding decisions on any weekday that has the MAR in it. In Spanish the only day would be Tuesday because in Spanish it mean MARTES. Withing those letters are the MATE (with an accent on the e), means killed so they say do not decide to marry or embark on business ventures on this day or you will be doomed. Whether it is true or not I have no idea but many do live by these words. It all translates to ni te case ni embarque, which means to not marry or embark on business. The only thing I see with it in Spanish is that they rhythm.
