we are one big family at home!~ and i am proud of it :) but there are times that i feel like i want to go somewhere else -_- that's because of my nephew. My nephew (typical 3 year old) always shrieks out whenever he cries (being teased sometimes). My nephew always shrieks louder! in times at play -_- usually in the living room. My nephew shrieks insanely whenever some of his belongings were being held by others (highly territorial XD). My nephew shrieks out loud the most when he wants to get attention from us... Oh good Heavens! why does the shriek sound is here on our planet -_-... Is there a way i can stop my nephew's shrieky noise? i doubt that i'll be deaf in the future if things goes all that way everyday...

Usually children at this age require lots of attention. They quickly learn that if they make racket they will be attended to. Although not the type of attention they prefer but somehow they feel that they are being tended to this way. My suggestion would be at first shriek, is that you or any adult say this has got to stop, in firm but not yelling way. If he persist ignore him and this pattern will soon wear out. Best of luck and I do not miss those days. LOL

, think most children have different ways of letting grown ups know what they want, this will become clearer to you when you already become a parent ( I presume you do not have children of your own yet). If I may suggest, maybe it would be wise to talk to the people that's causing his irritation to refrain from doing so, another effective way is to talk to the child that he will get a reward if he does not do that ( but just keep your promise)

When he does it, dont pay attention to him. I know it is sooo annoying and you just wanna make him stop but if you ignore him doing it he will realize it doesnt faze you and he will quit doing it.
