Going on a wicked trip soon to San Francisco and Las Vegas. Can't wait. What are they like though because I've only ever been to the USA to ski and to go to New York so i would like to know exactly what these cities are like and more importantly what I should do when I am there. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated as I really want to get the most out of the trip. I am spending a week in each city so should have plenty of time to do a lot in both cities and see a lot. Both cities always look stunning on television.

I have been to both Cities. Vegas is nice but getting expensive. I have heard the the gambling is better in what is called Old Town Las Vegas. San Francisco is very beautiful. I would suggest that you look into the City Pass which gives you discounts on attractions and free transportation on the SF Public Transportation. Have a great vacation.

I have visited San Francisco but I haven't ever been to Las Vegas. I recommend that you have a detailed walk along to the Golden Gate Bridge. There are some scenic walks around in that particular location. I suggest that you would like to ride an old tram around the picturesque streets. At China Town I bought two lovely looking costume dolls. I loved seeing the sea lions at Pier Number 69. There is one of the steepest streets in the world in San Francisco and it is enjoyable to walk up and down it. For ages San Francisco was my second favorite city then came along Cape Town, Vancouver and Cartagena in front of it on my favorites list. It is a very beautiful city with lots to see plus do. I hope that you will have a fantastic time there and in Las Vegas.
