I was on facebook and a friend posted a link to a video about a proposed law that a woman will get the death penalty if they have a miscarriage. I am so shocked and disgusted by this. I dont think there is any way that this bill will go any further. It is insanity. A miscarriage is an unfortunate part of some peoples lives. The emotional pain that people go through when they have a miscarriage is horrible enough without them being punished because of a horrible law acting as if it is their fault. Miscarriages are something that happen and cant be prevented. What do you think about this terrible bill? Heres the link to the video to check it out for yourself : http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/41889946#41889946

I would not have believed this if I hadnt seen the link. Miscarriage is not something a woman chooses. Her body will dispose of the baby for many reasons and most are not the fault of the mother. Most women will experience a miscarriage, usually their first pregnancy and some dont even know they had one. I had a miscarriage, my first child. I did not know I was pregnant and did not know it was a miscarriage until I had my daughter a couple years later. I than realized what had happend. The pain i had felt for what I thought was a period resembled giving birth. Plus I dont have periods like that, hadnt before and havent after. This is outrageous to punish a women for something she has no control over.

I couldnt agree more. If someone is happy with their pregnancy then a miscarriage is a horrible experience for them. I'm glad you didnt realize at the time that you had a miscarriage or you might have been devestated. I cant imagine having to go through one. If I hadent seen the link to verify this I would probably think someone was just making it up as well because it is simply so absurd.

I hadn't heard about this but it's absolutely horrible. Having just been through this in December I can tell you that the torture and sadness of losing a baby is punishment enough! Every day its a struggle to deal with my loss. Simply being out and seeing babies or hearing someone I know is pregnant is torture on my heart. If abortion is legal and you can do that without punishment I honestly dont see how they would even think they could get this bill passed. Its awful that they would even want to! It's not something you can control. No woman WANTS to lose their baby like that! I will deffinately be watching for more news on this one.

If I recall correctly, this bill has been around for a while. It has come up before and never made it anywhere. I think I read that it is not expected to go anywhere this time either. I guss this guy just keeps putting it out there and it keeps getting knocked. Seems kind of sensless to me. I believe it states that there must ne absolute proof that the miscarriage was not caused by human hands. You really have to wonder where anyone could come up with such an idea and why keep bringing it up when it has been shot down so many times

The guy who created this bill is known for coming up with other things that havent went into effect either. I guess hes not a well liked guy. I think his idea is absoultely crazy. How it even gets as far as being put into a bill is beyond me. A miscarriage is not an abortion I think this guy is a little unclear on that lol.
