Well if you've tried to look for the owner of the car before having it towed, then you did the right thing. I think its just normal for her to be upset...but you know..she should have known better than to park in the wrong place

You did right because if you had an emergency how could you get out. I do hope that she understands that doing so is inconsiderate and she re-thinks it again. Around here if someone blocks us in front of the house they will tow free of charge. But amazingly if they block us at the back of the house they say we can have it towed but at our expense.

I only have a little house aomongst big houses so needless to say I only have a small frontage and this is always happening to me, cars park partly over my drive so I have to drive over the getter to get out, how delfish people can be and yet if you did it to them they would scream the loudest...

Yes tikbalang it´s not polite of them to block our garage. We haven´t had an emergency but once my husband shuted his door, he was really angry because it wasn´t an emergency but we had a political important appointment. Another time, someone parked his van a out, but he let the keys on the car... so we moved it away ourselves. Yesterday, my brother was thinking on buying an old car just to put it infront of his garage, and move it when he needs to use his garage =) ... Blessings!... Dainy

I get that alot as well.People either block my drive or park over my drive, so anyone who parks on my drive has a problem getting off the drive. We get fed up of it as well.I think that there are alot of people that should either park some where that it is not a nausance to others or get a drive way of their own.It makes me mad.

Hey tikbalang56, It's true that the lady was impolite that she had parked in front of your driveway. It was not the right thing to do, and is illegal. I can't say that she deserved to have her car towed away, or that it wasn't mean for you to call the cops, but it was definitely the right thing to do.

I would think you might have done the right thing. If you knew who it was though you could have asked them to move it. Some people just don't know what they are doing and she might have moved it right away.

If i never knew who owns the car,i would do the same thing. Besides, being a driver he/she should know some rules, blocking driveways and gates is not allowed. Better to give her lesson, next time she would surely know what to do.

Hi Tikbalang and welcome to my lot. Don't blame you one bit. Our brother lives in this apartment next door the guys friends stoppes in and parks in our brothers drive because the other guys drive is really a pain in the you know where and is hard to get in and out of. So when we go to his house we have to park right at the end of his drive so no one can block us in. So what did she say? Why she left her car there? How long was she parked in your drive? I probably would have done the same thing if she had been parked there a long time. This is one of the reasons I am thankful to God that we own out in the country and no one should be in our drive for any reason. Good luck and God bless.
