Amway Representatives weigh in please

I have been looking for extra ways to make money just like anyone else...and then I see the Avon commercials...which everyone in my area is an Avon rep practically. But then I remember back in the day my mother and grandmother sold Amway products. And so I check out the site and get the basics in their printable materials. Now I know from experience from the products my mom had that they are a good, reputable company. But I was wondering from anyone out there who actually sells Amway products how much does it cost to start up as a rep? And honestly how well you are doing selling the product?
