Dude it totally sucks. My culinary class had a study abroad trip for 10 days to Italy this week. I'm so jealous. I totally wanted to go. I thought I was gonna go but it just didn't work out. Plus it was like $3,500 and thats only for like 10 days. I mean its a great trip but a little too expensive for me. I'm looking into going to Thailand for 3 1/2 weeks for that same amount of money. Seems silly to not go to Thailand.

What did it include? The hotel I presume and some trips too?
In what part of Italy would you have been?
I can quite understand your choice of spending the same amount of money but for three times the time in Thailand.

That's kinda expensive huh! But thinking about the experience and the enjoyment you'll have there, well, I guess that's enough to compensate and you will be able to learn new cultures and new recipes I suppose. Anyway, good luck, hope you can go with them in Thailand.
