I’m scared to death every time I watch this series. I fear for their lives and I’m amazed on how their dedicated to the work they have.
I mean if you look at the sea creatures that they catch, you would think twice on eating that lobster or fish on your plate while thinking that people risk their lives to give us the largest and tasty crustaceans in the planet.
They do get big salaries for doing such a risky job right? Any ideas how much these guys earn?

Indeed, they have big fat paycheck for their job and that's why it's so profitable. Rather than being brave, they need to have the knowledge to survive out in sea as well as knowing how to navigate through the rough ocean. That's is also why lobsters in resturants are so expensive because we are actually giving those catchers, their salaries too.

I've been a fan of this television series since the first season and I have to admit that this last season absolutely broke my heart because of the fact that Captain Phil Harris passed away. That said, I think that the wages that they make depends on how much their quota is for the boat that they are on and if they are able to make their quota. It used to depend only on how much crab they were able to catch, but that changed a few years ago.
