How do you like budget meals? Budget meals are meals which are offered by restaurants or food chain for a lesser price. But the food they serve is also limited. You may choose two viand and a rice. The two viand could be both meat or both vegetables or a mixture of vegetables and meat. Most often this is what the students buy as their lunch because it suits their budget. How about you?

I like budget meals. Especially since I want to maintain my weight. Sometimes a serving or full order of 1 viand is too much for 1 person. So instead of letting that food go to waste, it's best if there is an option for smaller servings and of course, lesser price. It's a good idea to have options for people. There are a lot of people who want to spend less and these budget meals are a very good alternative for them. They get just enough food and pay accordingly. Similarly, it's good for those who are on a diet. They won't have to pay for food that they won't finish.

Yeah. budget meal will not only maintain your weight but also your wallet. There are options in budget meals though this depends on the restaurant. Some may serve half rice and half viand with lesser pay. But most of the time, restaurants serves their standard budget meals. I agree with you though that food should not go to waste as their are many people around the globe with nothing to eat. Restaurants should really be considerate to go for the half meals! Thanks for sharing!

Hi dear, In our place there is no budget meal system so far. Though depend on the place and food nature, the prices and the quantity and the variety of meals are totally different. Where as places like colleges, factories, and places where meals are prepared in higher quantities and provided on a daily basis has their own coupon systems. However, the meal rates are different and food will be available with different combination of food items with different rates. As per their tastes, and interest people will go for it. Some times half meals or subsidized meals also will be available. Eg. in our office, the food rate is higher. But as the company provide the half rate, the caterers will serve the food with half rate, which we can bare. Thank-s

Hello there! Really! in our place there are so many budget meals in almost restaurants. But they do not serve it in decent restaurants like 5 star hotels and the like. It seems you have a different system when it comes to buying food. It is interesting to know you use coupons. In my country, we do not have those coupons! We pay in cash even if we work in a factory, colleges or in any workplace. Thanks for the share

If I can't buy exactly what I want from a restaurant without having to worry about the price I just wont go, I don't go out to eat often but when I do I don't want to have to miss out on what I really want.

hello lilaclady! That should be the essence of going out to eat in a restaurant. To really buy what you really want in which you cannot find or make it at home. However, there are people who want to change ambiance. Not really the food they want to eat but the ambiance of the place. To me I find them both worth going out. Thanks for sharing!

I am a patron of budget meals when I was a student. I liked having different options when eating. It makes my meals interesting.LOL It really is a budget and though it might not be a gourmet meal, it would just be enough to get through the day or the rest of the day since those meals would be eaten during lunch time.^_^
