With the media and politicians alike, calling for nicer political discourse has become a joke. This video shows the "new and improved" political discourse.

The current political (and other) discourse is the worst I've ever seen/heard it, and I've seen/heard a lot in my 60 some years. I don't know when, where, or who, but our whole behaviors, speech, etc. need to be racheted back to some semblance of civility. I'm glad I have you to talk to...your civil :D

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I had stitches taken out of my hand (turns out the growth he removed was cancerous, but all better now) and I didn't feel like typing. Anyway, why are you stressed? You get to tease patrons, make soups, hug your daughter...and your husband. What's bothering you?

Hiya laglen,
Cannot hear the Video either at the moment. But I can well imagine from what I have read on the responses here what it is about.
If People can really hear them making their Speeches on the Television with such terrible language being used I think it´s time for them to get a new act together.
Yesterday I was watching the Spanish President pulling faces at the Opposition I ask you were they in Kindergarten or what?

Well, as far as I can see, that is closer to reality. People have lost the ability to speak respectfully to each other. Foul language is the rule rather than the exception in conversations today. I stay out of places like Walmart, Target, and Winn Dixie because all you hear is combinations of the 'F' word. I am sick of it. There was a time when only very coarse people used words like that. Now women use it in their normal conversations.
Why wouldn't this kind of speech be used in political discourse? There are segments of the population that might not be able to follow the conversation without it...

I wasn't able to get the video to play, but from what you and Adoniah have said, I gather what the video was about.
It doesn't surprise me.
If we have true political discourse, we may figure out that we're being duped.
New boss, same as the old boss, we won't get fooled again. Sorry, I'm a product of my culture, and the rock group The Who, said it very well in that song.
