Why at times do you go to work late?

My workplace is a few minutes away from where I live so there's no reason for me to be tardy. However, when the kids have no classes, I tend to idle around at home, stay longer and enjoy being a housewife till the clock yells at me that if I won't get out of my place, I will be late for work. How about you? Why makes you tardy in reporting to work?

Hi Rainbow, I used to work in a company that started work at 7:30 am, and the company transport had to reach office by 7 am.
Nobody dared to go late since timekeeping is enforced very strictly.
Those who came late 3 minutes or more would suffer a pay deduction, and bonus deduction.
I think if you were to work in this kind of environment, you would not dare to go there late.

Hi Scheng, timekeeping is enforced strictly in our office. At times though, I just get too lazy to report early that deducting a certain amount from my salary didn't matter me at all. Ironically, if I report quite early, no additional amount is added to my salary :)

my workplace is just 5to 10minutes away from my apartment but i usually came to office late for like 15-30minutes everyday.... i can't say it's traffic or anything it's just me being lazy to wake up early and go to work at time.... sometimes it's the problem of a regular employee, being lazy to go to office in time

Especially during rainy days, whoa! it's nice to snuggle and extend my time on bed. I'm actually particular with time and I love going to work early of which most often I am one of the few people who go to the office so early. Infact, this morning my company was only the white lady who roams around silently (hehehe). I reported before 7am and our work time is at 8am still. But at times, I just get too lazy to report early :)... especially at my age, there's nothing much to prove my worth.

I try not to be late to work. Some times, I get there late, but that is not intentional. I live in a suburben area which is quite far from the downtown core where my work place is. So, it takes atleast 30 minutes to get there. When there is a traffic jam, it takes longer, and I get to the work place a few mintutes late.

I am self employed so i don't have to report to office.But while i was working it was due to the fact that i couldn't stick to a schedule.But i corrected myself and was able to report to work on time.Nowadays i stick to a set schedule regarding work so i report on time for work.

It is just because we are not in the mood for work! lol! 
I work homebased, but believe me I still drag myself sometimes to work! 
Especially when there are things that bother us in our workplace, a co-employee or your boss maybe. Or you know beforehand that that day is just gonna be a hectic day.
Well those are the reasons that I can think about!
