What do you prefer to bring, a flashdrive or an external hard drive?

In going to places, nowadays having a handy storage device is sometimes important especially when you suddenly need to open, copy or share files. Both flashdrive and external hard drive are handy storage devices but of course the former is much more easy to carry but the latter has larger disk space capacity. The flashdrive is plug and play while the external harddrive needs a cable to connect in between them and computer. For me, I still prefer to bring with me a flashdrive since it's too small that I can put it inside any of my pockets and it's just so convenient to use. How about you, what do you prefer to bring, a flashdrive or an external hard drive?

I personally prefer flashdrive as they are easy to carry around
i have a 4Gb flashdrive but sometimes i need to carry more data so i have an external drive too which i use sometimes for me both are useful
but i mostly use flashdrive

Yeah me too I have external hard drives too but most of the time I only bring a flashdrive unless I have to copy a larger data, then I'll bring an external hard drive. Both are useful definitely but flashdrive is just so convenient to use. Thank you for your response.

Well now i think i should buy 64Gb flash drive because it would be very convenient to use
and also i can carry larger files with it.can keep it as a backup too
external hard drives need to be handle with care a flash drive of that much memory would be good enough transfer all kind of big files

i'll probably prefer to bring my flashdrive with me. cause i always have it in my purse in everywhere i go, it got my most important document and in case i'll lose it i have a copy in my laptop at home. but the comfortability and convenience of flashdrive matters the most. external hard drives can easily be damage if you drop it or something like that plus it's much bigger and heavier it can't fit into my pouch :)

Yeah, it's a good habit to save your most important files in your flashdrive. It's tiny packaging makes us really love it coz it's so convenient to use and to carry around. Yeah, external hard drive needs some extra care to keep it in shape. Thank you for your response.

It depends on how long will I be out of town or will be away from home. But definitely, I will bring my flashdrive because it is much handy than the external drive.

Hi! Yeah you are right, flashdrive is really convenient and so easy to carry and to use. External hard drive has larger disk capacity but the convenience a flashdrive can bring is just unbeatable. Yes, you just need to plug it in usb port and voila, you can now access your files. =) Thank you for your response and happy myLotting to you as well! Take care! =)

A flash drive. My external is big, it catches to much attention and I'm afraid of losing it because it my mother will probably shave my hair. :) Plus, I keep really important files on my external.

for sharing some small files like songs and other small files i prefer a flahdrive coz its very convenient for carrying and using but for some larger files like games or some large movies like files greater than 1gb i prefer a external hard drive coz it has got a lot more speed than a flashdrive.

Yeah if you already know what you are going to copy, then you also know what you are going to bring. For small data, flashdrive is better, while for large data, external hard drive should be the one to bring. Thank you for your response.

Hi Harold.
I always prefer to bring a flash drive not only because I don't have an external drive but also because I find it more convenient to carry. I also don't find it comfortable carrying larger files as I might lost it so does my important files too unlike flash drives which can be replaced easily and the data it contains is not that big so I will still feel at ease even if I lost it. I guess I'm not used to carrying large files but if ever the situation asked then I think that's the time that I'll have one.
