Dysmenorrhea really hurts me. I'm going through this every month but I just let it hurt me because I don't want to take pain reliever. For all the ladies out there, are you experiencing dysmenorrhea too during your monthly period?? Do you know any natural remedy for this?

Not that I have any direct experience with this matter, I thought maybe what my sister does would somehow help in some way. Whenever my older sister would have these kinds of episodes, she would ask me to go to a store and buy her a bottle of Cola. Before, I wasn't really sure why she would just suddenly ask me to buy something like that at a random hour of the day. Eventually, I found out. I tried suggesting the same thing to a student of mine and it somehow helped. I am not just sure if Cola is a natural remedy

Sure, just tell me if it does work on you I guess if word spreads out, that cola company would have a commercial that might target women who are enduring these kinds of things each month..

Okay (^_^") It is somehow odd to look forward to something that initially entails someone to undergo such burden just to prove if a suggestion would help or not at all..

Usually, I get dysmenorrhea on my firs or second day of my menstruation. It really hurts I know. But then, what I usually do is I drink hot water or coffee and it helps relieve the pain. It doesn't take it all away but at least it helps just a little bit. I also try to keep myself warm by having warm clothes. It's just that I noticed when the weather get s colder, I feel more cramps and the pain. So maybe anything warm can help ease the pain. Hope this helps.

I already tried drinking warm water and coffee. Yes, it relived the pain for a while then soon I will feels cramps again. =( I never tried hot compress, as they say it's also good, but others say it's bad for the internal organs. Have you tried it?

Hot compress is okay. i try it and it helps relieve the pain. I'm not sure if it is true, but they said that we get cramps often we ate too much unhealthy food before our menstruation. I haven't noticed this though. Maybe if worse comes to worse, ask your doctor for advice.

Much as would love to suggest something, I was lucky. I was not afflicted with thi smonthly problem (and now it would be a thing of the past had I been). However I found that warmth made things better when it was a painful month more than previous ones. I am so sorry for anyone that suffers every month and this could also be the reason why you feel 'down' too?

I get the Depo Provera shot so I don't get my period now. That is one the perks of the birth control. I am in severe chronic pain with tumor so I don't need any more pain. Take care.

Whoah, yours I think is severe. =( Hope I won't get up to that stage. I think you must take more care than me. I get this pain when my period is delayed and unfortunately, it is always delayed. They said it only hurts on the first day but in my case, I feel it all throughout until the third or fourth day. I hat taking pain reliever meds so, I just take all the pain until it's gone. Sometimes, I put menthol ointment to relieve the pain.

It always happened on me everytime i had a monthly period i cant go to work bcos of that, i would advice put warm water in the bottle then roll it to ur lower abdomen. You know what when i went to OB for the check up she adviced dont eat sour food during the period time or before the period came so i followed her advice, now everytime i was having a monthly period i didn't feel dysmenorrhea.

I have heard of your OB's advice, but I am not actually fond of eating sour foods. I just hate sour foods. Maybe it's the effect of delayed monthly period. I haven't asked any OB yet. I don't like yet. =(
