Lost and Found

It's late afternoon and I decided to go out to buy some ice cream. Just a few steps outside the building where I live, I found a 500 Peso bill (about $12) on the side walk and there were some people just on the ground floor of our building gambling, playing cards and mahjong. I was hesitant to pick up the money but then I eventually did and went there to tell them that I saw a paperbill and asked if any of them owns it but nobody claimed. So I just told them that if they see anyone looking for it just let that person know that I found it and can get it back from me. I have no plans to keep the money for myself but this got me thinking, was it right for me to keepsake the money or should have I just left the money with those people I've approached?

I guess you did the right thing of informing those people around the place where you found the money. Now, since nobody claims it, then you could keep it and give yourself a week for anyone to claim it. Then, after that it could be yours already. Finder keeper.

Hello kathie! Well, that's what I call chance of a lifetime, lol! You're lucky to have found money even if it's not yours. You just did the right thing dear. At least, you are not really after of owning the money. It happens dear,it just do happened that you were the one who found it. If it's not you,for sure somebody will. If nobody claims for it,then keep it,it's really meant for you. Don't feel guilty of anything, you did not do anything wrong. See yah!

hello, Well, since no one claims to be the owner of that money, you can keep it (finders keeper). At least you've tried to locate the owner, and you still give message that whoever is searching for that lost bill can have it back (just contact/look for you) But i doubt that, whoever came to claim as the owner might be the rightful owner...never knew. Have a great day And WELCOME TO MYLOT

You don't know who it belongs to. You try to find. If no one claims keep it. Take care.
