I am looking for the best antivirus program. I want to stay under $60 a year. I was thinking of Kaspersky or Bitdefender. What antivirus program do you recommend?

if you stay up-to-date you can even choose the free edition of the major brands normally they are good too than licensed ones that normally are suitable for commercial use and so business needs...i think avg, kaspersky, bitdefender, avast in their free edition are ok and you can be protected in reality as regards private use i always installed the free edition and i never had virus infection on my pc...so you cna even choose a free solution surely you should be always up-to-date as regards virus database and be careful when you download unkno programs or resources on the net..

I think that AVG free is the best solution too. I had McAfee antivirus free for a month when I bought my computer. After this month I installed AVG and it found in a moment 5-6 viruses. I think AVG is the best one because it's free, sure and easy to update.

I use AVAST it's free and you get automatic free virus definition updates. If you do some research, you will find several free anti virus and anti spyware programs. Some of the best have already been mentioned by the other posters so I'll not mention them again.

Here there is a famous antivirus software called 360 and I like it. It is one of the most famous antivirus software here. At first, it is free of charge. Second, it seems it won't give me troubles and my computer works properly. I love China

I do not think that you really need to invest such great amount for anti virus if you are just using your computer at home. You also have to consider if you really need such Anti-virus. If you are using your computer in financial transactions, the best way to protect your accounts, is to avoid suspicious web domains. do not open spam emails and do not download anythin from any web that that you dont trust. perhaps you are using it for surfing the net, browsing videos or photos, this are just bsic uses of a computer so, I suggest you download AVG premium (well that is for free acutally because theres alot of license codes on youtube, just ssearch for it) and have it work along with AVIRA Personal suite(free version) theyre compatible. some anti virus doesnt work with a competitor Antivirus.

I don’t use antivirus, I use Deep Freeze. Deep Freeze makes computer configurations permanent and prevents against unwanted workstation changes, regardless of whether they are unintentional or malicious. Deep Freeze is proven to lessen helpdesk support incidents and allows IT personnel to focus on more strategic IT needs.

I use AVG Free which is free, you get to save the $60 you were willing to spend and keep your computer safe. I believe it's one of the best out there and the best free one out there.
