                    Firefox is the best browser.
I'm using Firefox as my 1st browser. As per my experience, some sites are not working well in chrome. For example 'Mylot'. Mylot profile page edit is very hard in chrome, but in Firefox it's working fine.
I suggest to use Firefox.

It's your anti-spyware and antivirus software that is preventing viruses to get into your computer and not the browsers. You must have a good anti-virus software that's why. Anyway, I am also using Mozilla as my browser because for me it is more user-friendly than Chrome.

Stay will Mozilla Firefox it is the best out there. If you download anything else like I did before you will be going back to Firefox. No internet browser can prevent viruses, but they can make it less likely to get any.

IMHO, both the browsers are awesome and have good performance. Different people varies in their taste/feel of the features of each browser and that determine their choice.
I had been using firefox 3 years back when chrome was still not that popular yet and I got used to the feel of it. Old habits die hard, they say.
