If you were a plant?

I'm watching a noontime show with a beauty patent segment and the question presented to the contestants was this: if you were a toy, what toy would you be? Then I came up with an answer to a different question which is, if you were a plant what kind of plant would you be.
A cactus! The reason why I chose this plant is because of the thorns. We can't touch a cactus without being careful. It is similar to my personality. Most people are intimidated and a bit scared of me, but once they get to know me, they stick and become my friends forever. They know that I can offer help anytime they want it. A cactus in the desert can save lives. I learned that cactus can keep a lot of liquid in it and if one sees a cactus in the desert, it can save him from dying of thirst.
I want to be a lifesaver like a cactus.

Quite interesting questions are asked in those beauty pageants to test the presence of mind of the contestants.
Well, if you would ask me what plant I should be I would opt for the Banyan Tree and not the cactus. I think so as I believe the Banyan Tree is more common and provides not only shelter to many birds but also provides shade to the needy. It reflects more of a traditional family kind of thing to me - when it grows old, it takes the help of its extended branches that then start acting as roots.
Though the cactus is found mostly in the deserts I would not wish anyone to find himself/herself lost in that place or go without water. And yes, also the many varieties of cactus are grown in the Green Houses for medicinal purposes (captivity you see
).

If I were a plant/tree then I would like to be a mango tree. So I can eat my fruits when I get hungry! Just kidding. Seriously I would to be an olive tree. Why? Because they live more than a thousand years and they look magnificent.

That was a nice and interesting question.
Okay if I would be a plant I want to be a coconut tree. We know that coconut tree is very useful and almost every part of it can be used. Just like in reality I wanted to serve a good usage in life and that is to help others with every bit of what I am and what I can.
Actually I would go for cactus too but your the first one so I'd go for my second choice.

Nice to know you'd be a cactus. If I were to be a plant, I would like to be a bamboo grass. The tallest grass in all its class, strong and sturdy no matter how strong the wind blows. Tall as it is, it still finds it way to humility as it bows to the wind. That's what I am., strong and determined no matter how many times you try to break, and I always try to be humble enough to admit mistakes and reconcile.

Yes, very nice choice. I Like bamboos too but my personality is really like that of a cactus.

There are some very good choices as to choice of plant, with applicable reasons as well. I tend to like the tree, but perhaps an apple tree, since they also give shade, but do also nourish a person with both food and liquid.
I have always loved trees. A tree can always be hugged and leaned on as well. You can even climb a tree and create a small shelter or fort within, although I prefer to make an eco-friendly fort, where there are no nails driven into the tree, a sort of natural-style fort.
I am thankful that many plants, bushes and trees put here for out benefit are also beautiful to look at, as is the apple tree.
In general plants have been and will always be a favorite of the human race!

Just make sure you would be a flower that smells great. There are those that give off terrible smell.

@asliah, there are herbs that are use as poisons too. I hope you won't be that kind of herb.

hello toni, i'd like to lucky bamboo(also named Dracaena sanderiana) because of its exuberant life.my working room and bedroon laid a pot of the plant.i only water them when the pots have no water.
its advantage are not only absorbing radiation and making the air clean but bringing good mood for its green...
