Tsunami hits Japan! (really horrible) but the question is...

why there is no tsunami alert in the Philippines? i have heard from the news that tsunami will hit in the Philippines today (March 11, 2011) at 9:55pm... I think if it reaches our coast it'll be just a little tsunami, but who knows...? I am really worried about Japan, i have some facebook friends living in Sendai too! I hope they are okay there :( I dont really like what's happening today :(
I'll just Pray for their safety..

Its better to be prepared for the worst case scenario you know, despite of the storms we experienced, we were still kinda lucky we has been safe from 2 major Tsunami that happened in Asia.

The Philvolcs raised Alert Level 1 as early as 2:30 in the afternoon yesterday, as the devastation was happening in Japan. The information dissemination was fast enough, in fact, school principals had the chance to prepare their students for a possible calamity. I am glad the waves did not smash us!
