I too believe in values and a moral standard. I also think there are to many parents that think just because their children are teens that they have done their job, and take the attitude, if they don't know better by now they never will. Not true in my book, I feel they need more guidance in the teen years than they did when they were small. There are so many influences outside of the home. Other people seem to have more influence than the parents do. Not to say there aren't alot of responsible teens out there, But they can still fall prey to society, and we need to be there to help them through. We all need to keep a guiding hand on our children, even if they don't want us to. And it has been my experience they don't want the guidence, we just have to be persistant. I know there have been many times my children have thought me to be ( the all time unknowing dork.) But they still know I Love them.

As society becomes more and more outburst with new inovations, ways of life, and electronic..I see it being harder and harder to instill the true values of life with in a child. I have 5 and are adults now. When they were little and growing up I had all I could do to keep them instilled with good sound values and foundation for life. As now they have children, I see a completely diffrent life style, values and foundation that the children to day are being told and taught. I believe that we have forgotten in over the years that these are children and we need to make a good foundation for them for life. I not sure if I can say we see alot of that today. I hope that there still parents out there that were taught this foundation of life when they were young and pass it on to thier children... We would see a diffrent life style that is much like the ones we have experinced in the past....
