I have some things in pots that WERE plants until I brought them into my home. Unfortunately I'm not too good at remembering to water them, so anything that's not a cactus is now reduced to a brown wilted shriveled lump in the pot.

Personally I have a jade plant, pothos, 2 coleus, spider plant, asparagus fern making berries, and spathophyllum, also an amaryllis which is one its second year. They are a source of joy for me and help me wait til I can garden outdoors again.

I used to have ferns but my cat would take the liberty of "pruning" them. I'd keep getting more plants but short of hanging plants, they don't stay alive in this house. I had a beautiful grapefruit tree, about 4 feet high. It got trimmed by the cat 3 feet up. Frustrating, but all you can do is laugh. I've taken to growing herbs on the sill and the deck, as he's an indoor cat. Sometimes I swear I can see the evil plotting...

It sounds like you are in a tropical paradise!
What is a money tree, did you plant a coin and now it produces coins?!
