Do you think that moon nearing the earth has anything to do with the earthquake caused in japan yesterday?I know that small earth quakes are common in japan but the ones measuring 8.9 on richer scale are dangerous.

What?.. I am not aware of that!!. Is is true that the moon is getting near the earth?!.. If that's the case, then many things might happen and the worst I guess, Is when the moon collides with the EArth!!.. It would be huge disaster for everyone!. Lets offer our prayers to the people of Japan, especially those who survived the earthquake that they may live their life once again.. ^)^

Ya the moon comes near to earth every 19 years or so.That can be a cause for natural disasters like tsunami.

Actually it won't collide at all. It is moving slowly away from the earth as it has been for the last several billion years.

Effects will be on the tides. What is happening in China I think, as you change the magnetic poles of the "Earth". On May 19 we see almost as usual. That happens once every 19 years and called " périgée" month.

no....not only do I not think this is the case, I know it isn't. This "supermoon" (I hate that term) will not have any effect on seismic or weather activity. This is nothing more than pseudo-science dribble.
