I was at a dollar store yesterday and the cashier asked me if I had seen that lady before me she said she wanted to get her phone number and I asked why and she told me that that lady had been shopping for things for almost free all day!! I asked her how she said that she had a receipt from Wal Mart and it was for $188.00 and Wal Mart had to pay her 29cents because the coupons recceeded the limit!! And then she had s coupon from Target and it was for $88.00 and all she paid for the total bill was $2.49!! Because of all the coupons she had!! Have you ever experienced this?

I've heard of this before. I've never been so lucky to get money back and making all my purchaces. I sure hope she wasn't scamming them. If sure was and get caught she'll be visiting women & shopping behind bars. (HA,HA) Not something I want to see.

I have saved about half of what the total bill was, but then got away from clipping coupons. It is easier now, a lot of stores offer their own saving card, and if you go to their website, some have coupons you can add to your card, and it will deduct at checkout. I know Kroger does this. It can be done, if you clip coupons, and match those with items on sale that week.

I've heard of those cards where you can do the website and add the coupons to your card... I wish we had that here. It would certainly save money on some ink to print them out.

Yes haha it is so relieving hahaha! Once I went with my children and my mother to Chilli´s, and my mother got out all her Chilli´s coupons, and she paid a very small amount too for our dinner (she invited us though) Hehe =) Blessings!... Dainy

No and I have never heard of it either...I didn't know you could do something like that....I use coupons but never enough to even make a dent but I figure if you save a little....well then it is a little saved.

I would have no idea how in hell she did that. I mean Wal-mart and target don't double coupons though I think you can stack them at Target (their web coupon and a smart source or red plum ect printed coupons from Sundays paper). I've also heard of people buying 4+ sunday papers because they do so well with couponing. No double coupons worth running around town over here.... Though I am curious how she did it at those two stores I really am.

I too am curious how it was done. Half the cuopons I see in the paper aren't what i even buy at all.

That is quite a collection of coupons! We don’t really use coupons in Australia but upon reading this I wish we did! It sounds like the customer you saw is very clever and knows how to utilise the system! It may have taken her a long time to keep track of all the coupons but it sounds as though it paid off for her.

Kudos to her but I could never be able to keep track of all the coupons that would be needed to save that much money. And as someone else has said, that could very well be a source of income to her if she can sell it at a decent price.

Wow, that's really extreme and I want her phone number as well, tee hee! I know that we need to clean out our printer and get'er all fixed up because that's the next thing on my to-do list, especially after reading this post. I wish the companies would send us good old-fashioned coupons, though, it would be much better.

As crazy as it sounds, it on the other hand is really smart shopping to say the least. It does take a great deal of time to gather them but I suppose for that type of savings it is well worth it.

It does take a lot of time for clipping the coupons and I don't have a printer at home and the sites always send me coupns but can never print them out and me and my daughter were going to go to the library today so I could print them but the car messed up when me and my husband were out!!

Wow, that is smart and crazy at the same time! That sounds like a lot of coupons. I know that my grandparents sometimes use a lot of coupons here and there, but wow I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. I say that if it works, then hey, theres no point in not doing it. If she can cut costs like that, she could actual MAKE money by selling some of those things on Ebay. Wow, that's pretty crazy... But, in the economy we are in, some people are forced to do crazy things like that.
