Do you think innocent people who does not know a lot of verses in bible, but who believe in God is much better than some people who were been educated and knows a lot of verses in bible? I ask this question because I met some people who were poor --- without food and shelter that come to our house and ask for food without any knowledge about what was happening about Japan's earthquake. It seems that they did not know what was happening in every event that was forecast in tv or in radio [---because they don't have tv and radio] and so, they don't have any fear and they don't have any knowledge about the end of the world. They don't panic and they don't have this thinking that they should pray and confess a sin to God because they were not afraid at all. Everytime they would come to our house, I see them as if everything is normal without getting afraid at all. They just smile and laugh, and play joke while us, especially my family were paranoid about what would happen next if the earthquake strike us here in our country and that's why, my mother always invited us to pray to God because my mother also thinks that all natural calamities happened now is prophesied in the bible. Does poor and uneducated people also feel the same way? I perceived those people that are poor is they just believed and trust in God without any fear at all.

A person who don't know anything about the words of God yet does His will is truly better that a person who knows the words of God but does not follow it. Yet, it would be best if you know the words of God and follow these, for by knowing His words you'll be able to help bring other people closer to Him. Keep up the faith.

I wish I could remember the verse, but Jesus or Paul tells us that it would be best not to know of God if you cannot follow His commandments and have a pure heart or something like that. And Jesus also tells us that some who come to Him at the Last Judgement are turned away although they had the knowedge of Him.

We are also reminded to share the gospel with people we meet, so I would be surprised if a person did not know about God when those around him/her who does do not take the opportunity to share the plan of salvation, and call them "better"? @IntovertShy, it is not about how many verses you know. It's about who you know. Knowing the verses is to help you know God better and to be prepared in times of need. Knowing verses won't get us to heaven. The devil probably know the verses too. Satan tempted Jesus by trying to distort bible verses. Knowing God means to believe in His Holiness, His Sovereignty, His Compassion and His wisdom. It is not to worry about fear, even though humanly sometimes we cannot help it. It is to trust that God is in control despite the events that is happening, and if we go, just remember this world is not our home anyway.

Interesting. Perhaps it is good not to know some things. Perhaps we can call it "constructive ignorance"? Perhaps "ignorance is (truly?) bliss"? Perhaps a good approach is to know as much and yet accept that all calamities are part of a hidden plan ... of a master plan, if you will. Perhaps our individual goal is to have "no fear". Knowing that "that which is truly you (and me) is not enclosed inside our bodies ... but rather it is invisible, spaceless, timeless and of the Invisible All-Powerful that makes all things possible." But then again perhaps I need some coffee :), Cheers. What do you think?

Well, the Bible did say blessed are the poor for they shall inherit the earth. Or something along that line. Faith in God transcends richness or poorness. I think it really is dependent on the person, whether he's educated or not or he's rich or poor.

Isn't the real evil the teaching of fear to others??? It is a sin religion commits!! How many people do they hurt just to get followers??? Do they really speak for God??? How could they?? God is Unconditional Love. Threats, intimidation, and fear sounds like mankind. There many lessons many need to learn.

It seems some have not because they ask not. They seem to want but not give. Rich or poor it is same if all have the love and the Word of God. It is hard for a rich man to want or ask God because they all ready have worldy things, but yet a poor is more thoughtful and ask because they have the need for things and appreiciate it. It is not wrong to have as long as thankful of how they got that and help those less with love and kindness. Faith and believeing and being thankful. The main commandment is love one another...I am not rich , and I do ask but also ask for others also but not for all the riches which makes some too proud and they forget God and weakness comes to them..You will leave this world with nothing and you can not take it with you. ..however you can lean not on the understanding of man but of God and the spirt will live where the body is just a shell and returns to dust.. The Bible is true and GOD will keep His promise to the people. Things are happening and are foretold and yet it tells one what to do also..Prayer is powerful and God provides I will say faith in believeing and His Word will be what helps the people..Sometimes man does things on their on and is not God like ways. What man puts together does not last but what God puts together does..
