Where did all these grey hair come from?

I was sitting in the car, sitting at an intersection, when I happened to see my reflection from the car mirrors. And when I looked closer, I was surprised to see a lot of grey hair on my head!
WTF?! Where did this all come from? Did I doze off for a few years?
I remember being a teenager yesterday, and then waking up today with a couple of kids, mortgaged to the hilt, and now having lots of grey hair! Where did the time go?
Do you get days like this?
Do you get surpised at the amount of grey hair on your head? Should I start coloring my hair now?

It mostly comes from all the worry of raising kids and how to lessen the mortgage bills. Others may have it from the worry over works and some from the worry over spouses. Coloring it is a way to ensure you feel young again and add a certain motivation to live young, too.

Don't kill me but I like gray hair on men! Does your love/ partner like the way you look? If so, don't fret. Some men look better with gray hair. But if this is Really bothering you, there is hair color for men!

Haha Dear Bounce I have some gray hair since I was teenager, so I got used to it. But now a days, with the anxiety and stress, and of course time, I´ve gotten some "new" gray hairs. But I feel proud of them. I think that at least I may be more respectable, hahaha, even though I dye my hair. But not to hide the gray hair, I just want more golden yellows, on my black hair, I don´t mind if my gray hair is dyed or not, I just want more light on my black hair.
In the other hand, I got sad, when this new year eve, we discovered the first gray hair in our 8 yearold son, hahaha... Blessings!... Dainy

OMG! That's a bit too young for your son to have started having gray hair. I hope that it is just an anomaly, and not regular as he is far from really having stress in his life. All he has to concern himself should be school and play time.
Yes, I tend to agree that although gray hair is not so pleasing to look at, it does add a little bit respectability.
Thanks Dainy.

Hey bro! The reason I am loling is because I was
so sick of how bad mine was Sunday that I begged my girlfriend/
next door neighbor to come over and dye it! It was way past
the time!lol I used to swear when I was younger that I would
never dye my hair! Well, ooops! That was until those nasty
greys started popping up all over. The problem is that I am
really getting "older" and my hair is very dark brown naturally.
I don't want to dye it that "platinum blonde" like my Mom's
age group does (she's 81) and I tried lightening it up and it
just looked so wrong on me! I don't look like "me" without my
dark hair, but I don't want to look like "an old hag" with dark
hair either!
I was warned that time flies the
older you get, and it is so true! I so wish I was younger again
and I know I'm not alone.@bounce58 (17380)

So has your friend color it already?
Haha! I think I made that promise to myself too when I was younger. Something about seeing little ol' ladies with colored hair that looked so un-natural!
I guess with age, comes the realization that we have to do what we have to.
At least we could always be younger online!
Take care, sis.

God, don't I know it.
I have a sun roof in my car and when the sun is shining in there just right....the grays in my roots are shining...and boy does gray/silver show up in the sunlight.
Time does fly.....even when you are at the salon hiding those gray hair with dye. LOL
Rest assured, you are not alone.

Sometime ago, I had dreams of driving in a highway, on a convertible (top down of course), or at least a car with a sun roof, preferrably summer, and listening to my favorite tunes.
I think you've made that mental picture for me a little bit not-pleasing
, with all my gray hairs.

, with all my gray hairs.

I remember the day that I found the first gray hair in my head, and it absolutely devastated me. Now that a couple of years have passed, it really doesn't bother me that there are times that I will find gray hair in my head. I think that the reason that it happens is due in part to the stress that we are facing in our lives. You see, my life hasn't been easy at all because of the fact that I lost my father at a young age and then I also had my first child when I was young at all. However, I also look at my cousin that is five months older than me and really feel truly blessed that I only have the few grays in my head that I have because he is about 30% gray at this point.

Ha, I've been coloring mine since I was 25. And I know where it came from. My mom, and her dad's genes.

I got my first real gray hair at the age of 21. Now I have so many grays that I can no longer pluck them! It's not so bad that all my head is gray, but they are noticable and I do need to color my hair.
Whether or not you should color yours depends on your age and how the grays make you look. I'm 30.. grays make me look older. I don't want that!
You probably aren't really old enough for grays either.. but I know that for some men grays make them look distinguished and handsome. If I were you I'd get the wife's opinion.

I like the perspective!
That it would make me look distinguished. I have another discussion where I said that I am moving on to another job. This new job demands more responsibility, and maybe the gray hair, and the distinguised-look may work to my advantage.
Thanks.

I am 23 and my hair started to become gray at the age of 15!So you are better off than me.I used to use hair dyes but not anymore because i fear that i will be bald if i use hair dyes that are full of chemicals. It is just a loss of melanin pigment.

Gee your discussion made me run and look in he mirror and OMG a couple deep within. So evidently there must be some kind of disease and or virus roaming around and attacking us babes way too early.
I would not color it until it is visibly irritating. Once you do you will have to continually do so every 4 weeks and that will damage your hair. They do have the temporary ones that are specifically for gray that after so many washes they begin to fade. You might want to look into that first before you start the whole chemical ones. Just get the one that colors the gray and closely match your hair.
Cheers to younger days.

I did visit a friend who works at a retirement home the other week, so obviously this was where I got this 'disease or virus'! Haha!
That is the one thing that I do not want to do, which is make it a routine. Not only would it be expensive, but quite embarassing on days that I would miss the routine.
