How Do People Get Direct Referrals So Easily?

I used to love Bux websites, because they give you the ability to rent referrals and earn some pretty decent money, but a lot of Bux sites turn scam, and I've been thinking about trying to get direct referrals. The problem is, I really struggle with getting direct referrals. Many people don't know how to complete offers and get them to confirm on GPT websites. I try to help them, but we usually just get confused and I feel sorry for wasting their time.
For PTC websites, many people I talk to don't feel it's worth their time to click ads for $0.0001-$0.01 an ad. How do so many people get direct referrals? I heard of putting referral links on your blog, make videos about them, etc, but I have no luck with that. Please share your secrets. Thanks!

I focus on sites that have been paying for years with a great referral commission structure like Clixsense. Usually I tend to focus on just one site before referring other sites.
From my blog, I tend to help out my referrals as well. For sites that have a multi-level referral program, I offer a spot in my banner rotators to help them get their own referrals.

Thanks. I like Clixsense, too. Since they now accept Paypal, that's even better. Thanks for some of the tips.
