is watching tv is informative ?

I think that some shows on television can be informative. Not all of them are though, in my opinion.

TV is important... sort of. As long as you don't abuse it. A lot of people these days just sit in front of the TV all day and watch every single show that's on and don't get bored. Hard to believe but it's true. This is an example of abusing TV as not only are they wasting their day but their becoming lazy, they're wasting their brain sort of. I'm finding it really hard to explain so I'm sorry if you think I'm going nuts. But then you do get a lot of advantages, the first one that springs to my mind is the news. You can catch up on all the latest news on TV without leaving your home. And the fact that there's whole channels dedicated to news means that you've got it at your fingertips 24/7 and that does increase our knowledge. And you do get little snippets of knowledge from even the dumbest shows.

welcome to mylot vith, hope to see more around. tv is always been informative, but just like beauty it is always in the of the beholder. it is on how you will absorb what you see on tv. i learned a lot on tv and sometimes when i see it on tv i still research it on the net for more informations. so tv does not only entertains us but it also gives informations. goodluck here at mylot.

it can be informative at the same time destructive (maybe that's an exaggeration lol)You must be selective of things you watch though. Having enough knowledge through television gives you more confidence with striking up a conversion with anyone. Being aware of the latest news keeps you from ignorance about the world we're living today. Watch news, discovery Channel, history channel but of course you have to watch movies too or sometimes MTV but not 24/7 MTV okay. I hate music videos nowadays, way too liberal and nonsense. Just watch something intellectual.

Watching t.v. can be informative and you can gain a lot of information necessary to do research on the topics presented in television news, talk shows, etc. I think it is very important that a person research other sources besides television for information, because sometimes you can get false information or you may not get the complete facts on a topic.
