Which is more Riskier JOB - QC or QA ?

In another Few days i will have to attend for an interview at an Manufacturing company were there are openings for Quality control as well as Quality Assurance. I Heard from lot of people that Quality job involves more risk than production/manufacturing as we to assure for the quality of the products manufactured. But i am a Mechanical Engineer and in that company i only have option to go for Quality.. Which one should i choose for? QC or QA?? Which is less risk job in this quality comparison.. PLEASE HELP ! !
