It stars Jodie Foster and the plot is something like this:
Jodie and her boyfriend are attacked by some hoodlums and he is killed. They also take away her dog, after the incident she is seriously depressed and disturbed and she acquires a gun for her defense. Later on while traveling on the subway, she witnesses some hoodlums who are trying to rob others. She shoots at them and kills one of the hoods.
After this incident, she turns into a killer of the robbers and killers. A kind-hearted detective is helping find the killers of her boyfriend and suspects that she is the latest killer but in the end, he lets her walk away! There is a beautiful song in the end when she is walking away "cast me gently into morning, night has been unkind"
Has anyone watched this movie? what is the name of this one? This movie was very sad and a bit disturbing yet I liked it a lot for Jodie's powerful performance.

I saw this movie. It's The Brave One. It is like you said pretty disturbing to watch. The director has set the ambience and the setting of the movie to be pretty frightening. It hasn't romanticized the role of the vigilante. It's quite a good movie to watch.

Yes, its a very disturbing movie, makes you really think! But a good one with a great performance by Jodie Foster!

Ummm... I believe its called "The Brave One". I havnt had a chance to watch it yet, but it does look like a good one. I should watch it sometime.

oo yes..its quite famous a few years back..nothing big..
but many people watched it..
but not too big at box office..
the title is BRAVE ONE..
