how to get star Point on your name in mylot

dear friends, i am a new user on mylot and i have seen a lot of user having some a star with their name. What do they mean? and how can i get a star before my name?

LOL I used to ask myself the same question months ago. I even started a discussion similar with yours and I found the response I needed. I see you also find the response to your question and I hope you will earn a high star as a new member here.
I just wanted to give you a tip I read about: if you want to increase your rating faster, you can post one response and one comment to a user's response in the same discussion. This way, from a single discussion about a subject that you like, you can earn 2 points for your rating. I did so and that's how I got my first star. I was not so proud of my first star, but I managed to rise it up to a beautiful yellow star.

You will see your MyLot Reputation 'star' when your User Rating reaches 100.

Your user rating increases when you respond to a discussion, comment in a discussion and when one of your discussions receives a response. Although you earn for EVERYTHING (of a suitable quality) that you type, your user rating only takes into account the first response you make in a discussion and the first comment you make in a discussion, so it is NOT a true 'post count'.

hi,
Your star will appear after you reach 100 discussion. I saw in your profile you had 16. The number of on the star determines how the other user rate your discussion. From 1 - 10. When my star appears, I got 7 on it. But now it lowers to 6. Just continue participating and joining the discussion and you will get your star soon. Happy MyLotting. When you reach 200 you can use smileys. :) Cheers!

i don't know either. but when i reach my first 100 response the star with a number seven appears beside my name and now its number 8 hehe... just enjoy the moment keep commenting and don't bother about the star hehehe the most important is your happy in commenting and learning at the same time
