Is helmet necessary for riding two wheelers

This is dependent upon the city and its congestion and also upon the speed a vehicle can reach.hence Helmet is not necessary.

Sorry Bhutto, I disagree with you. I have worked in head injuries in the past,and it is not the speed you can reach, it is the speed of the vehicle that hits you that can make all the difference. I have seen some mashed up brains and I think if you ride any kind of two-wheeler you must always protect your head.

yes in india helmet is necessary for riding two wheelers.its a cmpulsion to wear helmet .

I agree with you it is compulsory, why then helmet is made compulsary in one state and other it mandatory,forget about states take town and districts the same rule.Personally i feel that the government should take steps in building greater in India ,they should look in building good roads ,infrastructure and they should think of 100 years not 2 or 3 years.helmets on high way i agree but within city limit i dont think so, in Bangalore reaching a speed of 50 is something great,rather than making helmets copulsary they should think of building roads widening roads and fly overs.

Wow I definitely think its necessary...its for the drivers own safety....my friend met with an accident the other day and his helmet saved his life as it was a head on collision with an immobile truck....and also I am Bangalore and they made helmets compulsory around last month in the state and not just the city ....great move by the govt....I think....

yes it is must coz the most deaths in an accident while driving a 2 wheller is due to injuries on head...
so better drive carefully n slowly or use helmet
