These days, I came across friend's relatives, brothers and sisters, parents, uncles, friend's wife, bf/gf who were stricken with cancer. These cancer range from blood, to tumours, bone cancer, leukemia, any parts of the body, most of all, it strike anyone regardless or AGE/COLOUR/STATUS/RICH or POOR. Even a 5 years old could utter the word, CANCER. I learnt about cancer right after I left my final year in uni. As I have someone close to me striken with CA (cancer) but survived. Also, I have somebody close to me who passed away due to CA and he didn't made it. Both of them in the early 60s. Recently, a doctor's brother (a friend), age 24, passed away with acute leukemia (heriditary). Has the demon summon the time of our death? what have we sinned so far? A fate, a destiny or....why not you tell me in this discussions. Thank you.

The cure for cancer & other "incurable" diseases has been known for a very long time already & this has been the subject of a very good My Lot discussion by a very worthy, exemplary author : http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2411261.aspx?p=1 You may still add your own comments there as the author is a relatively quick responder who is quite active on My Lot. To answer your question, cancer is simply the "effect" in "cause & effect". So, if you want to use terms to summarize it, I guess the Sanskrit word "karma" would cover it better than the often misunderstood term "sin", but I can speak here in those terms if you wish. In the Holy Bible, God presented us with his ideal plan for this world from the very beginning. He sent many prophets into this world to remind us time & time again how we should be living our lives. He gave the commandments to Moses & specifically instructed us not to kill any living being, if we use the correct Hebrew translation. Yet every day, three times a day or more, people are murdering the animals entrusted to our care, for our companionship, just to satisfy their palates. So of course it is sin; it's a direct violation of God's commandment, which God issued to us for our own benefit whilst here on this earth. Cancer is just one of a huge array of the consequences of our actions. For more information, you may like to refer to these dicussions & add comments as you wish.: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2363107.aspx http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2365359.aspx

hi veganbliss, (are you a vegetarian?) I like the way you said about the effect and the cause of effect about cancer. I agree with you to a certain extent that cancer has to do with eating too much animals (in Biblical pont of view) and cancer is due to consequences of out actions. Well, i hope there is a chance we change the world. Let us all work towards the vision. Good luck.

hi veganbliss, I think you must have been researching regarding human being's appetite which linked with cancer. My mother often says that 5 kinds of "white food materials" which linked with cancer. 1. meat 2. sugar 3. milk 4. flour 5. bread (maybe-probably I have forgotten) All these have higher chances of increasing the rate of cancer. To control the spreading of cancer, sugar and meat is a MUST to avoid.

I don't have cancer but I have seen how it afflict others. A young wife lost her husband to leukemia and I have seen other survive. But it is not just cancer taking loved ones away, it could be anything (natural disasters, heart attacks, etc). We live in a fallen world anyway. Destiny, fate, dying young? I don't know. Those who are gone are gone. Those who are here, I think the lesson is just make our journey and time here worthwhile. Well, at least I have a friend in you. Cheer up, buddy.

There are lots of reason for having CA. One is hereditary that is already on the genes. Another reason is,bad diet or not healthy way of living. Some reasons caused by the environment (polluted, chemicals and etc) If it is destiny or fate, then, maybe there is still a reason behind it. We may not understand, but i believed there is always reason for everything,it might be good or bad.

It isn't fate nor destiny. for me cancer is brought to us by overload of junks in our body, fatty foods, cholesterol and even toxic that we have gotten from those food of which chemical contents we are not familiar with could be carcinogens. You can add to that the rapid increase of pollutants all over us, in the air, water, name it, it is everywhere. We are not destined to get cancers or any deadly disease. However, we abuse the blessings of nature and thus, we are only paying the price, a sad and yet very high price....

yes,dear.... we all need to make this planet a healthy place again. what comes around, goes around. what we have done to this planet is killing us now. stop the rich and the greedy from eating up this planet. let the innocent be free.
