I can say, and who wouldn't agree, parenting is truly a challenging job! It's not easy to deal with a child--how much more if you have a "fiveful" of them? Well, my challenges with them every day add my strength as a person--- they lengthen my patience...they make me exercise more my critical thinking..my analytic skills.. and, they pump up my adrenalin every minute of the day to raise my metabolic rate and burn fats in the process! Aren't these very challenging?! How about you, some challenges as parents?

To be a parent is a very challenging role because you must be a good example to your kids so that you will be credible. To be a parent needs a lot of patience and you need to give quality time for the family.

My challenges are to remain patient and continue to be creative. My daughter is my most challenging child so far, she is very head-strong and she keeps me on my toes. I have to constantly come up with new things to get her to understand what she is supposed to do, and new consequences for bad choices. It is also challenging for me to remain poxitive at times. When I go over the same things with her repeatedly and she just doesn't want to help herself eo make the situations any better, it is often hard for me to stay positive. Thankfully, I know that I am doing everything that i can to teach her the skills that she will need when she is an adult. I know that in the end, the skills I have taught her will be carried with her in her own adult life. In the meantime, I just have to keep telling myself that each phase will pass and I will figure out the next one as it comes.

okay I lost my whole response darn.My son is out of a full time job and has only 2 days a week job.He is 51 and I still worry. He is a great son and am so proud of him.I am a widow now for many years. Its a fascinating and worthwhile and hard job being a mom for five children I applaud you.so we had to separate after we were evicted after he was laid off and no jobs to be found. I hate this economy as its not changing and jobs are still scarce and prices are still too high.

I have many challenges as I'm a mom to 4 children. They range from 20 months up to 8 years. My challenges are my 2 older children learning things at school from the older kids and coming home and showing or telling me. My oldest daughter likes to back talk and my 5 year old is very difiant. My youngest daugher is learning alot of things from her older siblings which make it all the more challenging. Being a parent is a 24 hours a day 7 days a week job. I dont get sick days or paid holidays. I love every minute of it and wouldnt change my children for the world.

hello mjmlagat, Challenges as parents? i would say a lot. Having five kids which is my youngest daughters is triplet, which appeared on my avatar i would rather say very, very challenging. For five days, Early in the morning you wake up to prepare their things for school at elementary and nursery school , helping them to their school works, and other activities outside the school. After that during saturdays and sundays to be with them spending time with them as family activity, aside from that duties at home as a housekeeping, and a lot lot more challenging days. What can I say?

I hate to tell you this, but the challenges never end for parents! My son is 39 years old and mothering him is still a challenge! But, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world, as nothing beats the love I hold in my heart for my son, no matter what...
