I am standing in the market and I hear the most amazing deep bass voice. But I can see nobody singing. Then it stopped abruptly and I realised that I had heard a cell phone ringtone! My ring is very plain but I know that some are, like the one that I heard, quite amazing. Do you have an interesting ringtone?

This music lover has many! A different one for all the lovely's and same one for all the non-lovely's. I especially love my son's ring-tone because my son while a child use to call me momma, momma. My son is OCD, so it was a constant momma, momma so how perfect to download the Little Stevie annoying momma, momma: What! hi! He doesn't laugh with it as much as I do, but I suppose when he was doing the momma, momma I was not laughing them. lol

I think my ringtone is interesting. At least it is to me lol. I find it amusing. When my sister and I were kids we used to have 3 or 4 old 45 records that we'd listen to while we were playing. One had the song on it called funny farm. "They're coming to take me away ha,ha, they're coming to take me away hehe to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time and look at that those nice young men in their clean white coats, they're coming to take me away HAHA!" lol. I searched for it one day and found it as a ring tone and was so excited lol.

Hey P1kef1sh, Haha.. I read this and it made me laugh I use to have many ring tones but, but right now I have a normal one I dont think I want anything special But reading this made me think.. humm I should see if I can get a ring tone if not make my own. I know a good site but its very youthful and so are the ring tones but here is the site.. They do have all types of music and wall papers and you can even download videos and games if your phone allows it. www.Myxer.com

I have a variety of ringtones so I know who's calling. Strangers and one ex-employer have The Muppet Show theme tune, oldest daughter and family have the Red Dwarf theme tune, youngest daughter and family have the Fraggle Rock theme tune and, for reasons best known to those who know her, Toreador is reserved for middle daughter.

My new phone has a ringtome from a group that I do not know of. It's ok. Earlier, I had different ring tones based on my mood for the day/week/month...lol I've never preferred the plain ring tone...and like songs that mean something to me. I also keep my phone on silent mode when I am at the movies or in a meeting.

my table mate Sharon has a new cellphone and the most beautiful classical music rintones, a piece from Mozart one of his unusual violin concertos that sounds like a modern piece for sure. it drove other musicians mad as it had all sorts of disharmonies in it. its teally a terrific piece. I took a long course on the net on mozart the child the man and the musician and it was fascinating and I learned so much and I am not one who plays any musical instrument. I just love classical music. so sue me. lol When I hear her phone I am always wishing I could hear the rest of the composition. It is one really different piece of music.

I love clasical music too Hatley. If I had a ringtone other than the standard I'd probably have a piece of Faure, perhaps from his Pavane.

I can't say that my ringtone is interesting, but I like it just the same. Mine is I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me, which is a christian group. Since I have an Android phone I was able to download an app of different ringtones, and apply the one I want. I only have the one ringtome as I don't need more than one when my phone rings, as the name and number show up when anyone calls, so I know who it is that way. Take care, and have a very good day.

It is funny that you should mention ringtones as I got a new mobile phone last Saturday and have chosen the ringtone that I liked best form the ones that come standard with the phone. My wife downloaded the Dexter TV show theme and I was wondering how I could get my old ringtone off my old phone and on to the new one. A couple of years ago, I recorded the sound of my friend revving his motorbike while I held the phone close to the exhaust pipe. That has been my ringtone for the last few years and I want to keep it. Maybe I might be able to do a file transfer if I plug both of my phones into the computer?

You might well do it that way. Downlaod "Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/) it's free and is sound recording software.

Ehh. I use to have ringtones of my fav videogames. Like mario or sonic. Metal Gear Solid! Or even the power rangers codec.. They get overplayed and annoying, so now I just stick with ole default. But for certain people (special people) I give them their own personal ringer, so I know its them. :)
