Now mobile phone is available less than a pound

I didn't know that Carphone Warehouse is manufacturing phone. I always thought they just retails. 99p?? Really?? What kind of function will that phone have, I wonder??? Come to think of it, even the plastic alone must have cost that...not to mention the electronic parts, screen, etc. How is that possible???

Hi yugasini, The day is not far when you would get one handset free on buying them. The second handset I had was nokia 6600 and it cost me Rs. 10,000. But with that amount I would get much much better hand set. What shall we call it? Mobile explosion?

Hi Yugasini, Wow mobile phones at the rate of 1 pound is some dream. I hope you ar talking about some reputed brand like Nokia, sony or samsung and not some chinese phones. But even if they are chinese , still a good value. I just hope there are no strings attached like minimum amount of telephone bill every month or a 3 year service contract or things like that and thus make up for the discount through contracts.

I think it's easy to find cheap mobile phones. Sometimes it seems we even could have a free mobile phone from an operator. But the fact is we must signing a year, or two years contract with them in order to be able to have that super cheap mobile phone. Some operator even restricting us with minimum usage of the mobile phone's bill. This is what we called with subsidy from the mobile network operator company. Several years ago, i heard from my friend who went to Hongkong that day, he told me that in Hongkong there's a mobile operator even give us free mobile phone if we buy some amount of calling credit. The minimum amount of calling credit must be equivalent with US$100 in order to qualify for a free mobile phone. So, is there really an electronic gadget can be called as cheapest or even free one? At first I misunderstood your question. I am in the US and "a pound" is a unit of measure.. and my first thought was, "all phones are way less than a pound!" lol!!Then I realized you were talking about a decrease in price!!It's good that they are all going down and are more affordable!

hello yugasini, A 99 penny mobile phone? Really? When this will be released?...and was these phones available here in Asian countries? Good thing for me...my daughter lost 3 expensive phones already. The latest one she just lost it last month and i just bought it last December. Hmn...this phone will be the answer to my daughter's losing phone syndrome
