In which order the categories are displayed at the top?

Whenever I log in mylot, some categories appear at the top. Is there any minimum time period throughout which a particular category will be displayed at the top or as soon as a topic on a new category is started the oldest one displayed for the maximum period is replaced by the new one or if the new one belongs to a category that is being displayed at that moment, the older one is displaced and the newer one takes its place?

I think there is specified time for it to be there and thereafter taken away and later put on again.

What a thing to observe. life outside the net is hard enough who cares in what order. the new ones replace the old and the time is listed under the interests that are displaced. I could really care 'less. I just want to see what is new, If I want older I will hunt for it.I imagine no list of interests with the latest time shown are the same for any of us and again who the heck cares.[
