i want to upgrate my cpu intel celeron 500 mhz and change motherboard if its nesecary,i want to have up to 1ghz if its possible,i have a compaq presario 5476

Hi. I have had a look at the model number of your PC and it would be to your advantage to buy a newer used PC. Your current model is too old to upgrade. It is very slow by todays standards. The cost to refurbish your system is more than you can buy a replacement unit with current equipment that is very fast and not dated. You can get a nice used PC now for less than $100.00 USD Try E-Bay.
