Finally we have new lawyers in our country again and i'm happy for those who passed the most difficult and prestigious exam in the country. I once was a candidate but failed. I was frustrated i have not considered taking the exam again. It's really frustrating when you have put your best effort and expected the best out of it because you knew in your heart you were confident with your answers. I have failed by a mere .4 point and it has really made me so depressed. Last night it was released and as usual the percentage of those who passed was really low. However, i was just surprised how early this year's result was released! It's usually released after the holy week. Anyway, i would like to congratulate the new lawyers. I hope that someday i will have the courage to take the bar exam again.

I really wanted to be a lawyer my friend. I envy you for having the chance to go to law school. You should pursue taking the bar and passing it. I know it wouldn't be easy but it's quite fulfilling to try it. At least you wouldn't live a life asking "what ifs"... I believe you can do it. Go for it! I will be praying for you if you will... Congratulations to the new Philippine Lawyers! God bless you all!

our law teacher also informed us when about this when they got the information, this is very disheartening to know, especially taking up law is so hard, and it is sad to know that alot of bar examinees dropped out at the first day sunday of exam.. i hope, i could continue until the end of my studies, to be able to take it as well.. i need patience, and strong will to do it.

Hello Toni! Don't lose hope. You can try it again although it is very discouraging sometimes because you need to go over again your notes and take those stock knowledge out. I took the Bar exam last 2009, during the Ondoy. I knew in my heart I can make it because you can assess yourself really after taking the exam. However, many factors come along and that 6 months time to correct our exam papers, there are things that happens beyond our control. After I got the result and learned some controversy, it made me more discouraged. On the other hand, if you have the chance, take again. If not, then perhaps work in a law office like I did. Take care and nice to meet someone with law background in here.

Congratulations to our new batch of lawyers! I hope they will use their profession to serve the people, not to protect criminals and thieves in high places.

Last night as i saw the news about it , i texted my sister whose son was one of those who took the bar exams. Unfortunately, my nephew didn't pass. All that i said is that his son should try again next year, meanwhile do good in his present job. But i know my father who is a retired judge was disappointed because it was only my nephew who took after his profession . But i know too that he understands how hard the bar exam is. Well, as to you can , try taking the bar exam again.

I can understand what your nephew is going through right now and i hope that he will try and take the exam again. As for me, i have not made up my mind yet and i'm not sure whether i'll take again or not. For me i am no longer after the career but i am after for the privilege and prestige. I consider lawyering as a privilege that only a few can practice.

Yes, I agree it's a privilege given by the state to a supposed worthy individual to uphold the ideals of law. There is this unique notion of people that gives the BAR exam passer LAWYER some honor and prestige that could not be obtained by doing some other thing aside from passing the BAR. I look up to lawyers and are always amazed by them. Don't know why... Maybe it's because I also wanted to be a lawyer... :) hmmmm...

Yes I was able to see the result as well, and I'm so glad that my friend passed the bar. She's now Atty. Resida Rose Rosario. I am just so proud of her. God is really good. Go UP! Is it sad that you were not able to pass the examination when you took it but you must not lose hope and try again.

Frustration nor depression is not a good habit so don't take it, let it drain and pass by through happiness with loveones and friends supported you. Maybe this is not your time yet so shield your courage for the next time and it all yours.

My bachelor's degree is major in political science which is the pre-law course. After graduation, I worked right away as I don't want to be a burden to my parents anymore. I took masteral but didn't finish it as it was boring. Now I don't have enough funds to support me to go to law school and the time is also another issue. Going to law school is one of my frustrations, at present I can not invest another 5 years to go for it. Since you've done it, don't give up, take the review again then set off for the BAR exams. Go! go! go! and reach for the stars!!! Cheers!

I was really shocked when I heard the news that out of the 4000+ bar examinees only 900+ did it. I was really frustrated but as a law student I must not. I just realize now how hard it is to become one and as a hopeful I must strive harder. But I'd rather be on the positive side because all of the 900+ passers did their very best to pass and now they are already lawyers. Congratulations to all who pass and for those who didn't make it don't worry because there is always a second chance and God will always be there to guide you...
