Don't Focus on the Missing!

I have a very tough week, lot's of pressures in career, family, financial, etc etc. I was thinking of ways to release stress but I did not come up with a decision of where and how. So I just stick with one very well known stress reliever God. And He made me realize things. A message forwarded to me by my friend used to give me a clear word today. The message goes: "Misery in life starts when a person focuses on the 10% MISSING and overlooks the 90% BLESSING. We all have our own share of blessings. Some get them FAST. Some WAIT for a WHILE. What's most important is it comes at a time we MOST need it... God knows best and His timing is always PERFECT." What a great message for me. What are your views on this fellow lotters?

I think that the quote that you've shared here is something that we really all should keep in mind. I think that in our lives there are a lot of times that we struggle in our lives. What it seems like most of us don't take the time to consider is that we are really never given more in our lives to deal with than we are able to cope with. Even when we feel like our worlds are coming to an end, we are still able to deal with it because of God's guidance.

You are absolutely right my friend. There are even things that seems to be beyond our human comprehension yet we have to live with it, focusing not on the troubles but on the blessings. We don't have to understand the whole world, we just have to trust God. :)

Hi, chuyins...I try not to focus on the negative and I, too, receive comfort from God's word. Reading it can indeed relieve stress. You can now expect the atheists to show up here and tell you how they do not believe in God. I see them doing it all the time and often wonder why they even bother to insert their opinions on something they don't believe in the first place.

Yes, staying optimistic would keep us going. And it makes us live a peaceful life amidst the noise and haste in this fast paced and changing world. Thanks for sharing. God bless you! :)

The last seven years of my life have been very rough. I have been tested so many times in so many was. I do everything in my power to get through a tough day the best way that I can. At the end of the day alone in my bedroom I always read the bible. I never go to sleep without thanking God for the day he has given me even a bad day because I believe that God puts everything in your life for a reason. In that I thank him for a very good day. AMEN

AMEN!! God always knows. He will not leave you. When the economy got bad around here, I was STRESSING. Then I stopped and looked at what God has given me that money has nothing to do with: love, peace, the Holy Spirit. :)
