Before I married, I am also very skinny, even my body weight only 36 kg. I was very skinny. All the people say, I have trouble eating. actually, I'm not difficult to eat, I even eat foods that contain fat. But, still my body thin. But after marrying and having children, my weight is 55 kg.

Hello aisa and welcome to myLot! Take care what you wish for, as it might come true! I was very thin when I was your age, then I got a better job, I settled down and I started to gain weight. Luckily I stopped and I didn't become a fat person but too many girls I knew became so fat and noadays they all complain about how hard it is to loose weight. If you are healthy and you feel good being a thin person, don't force your luck. You don't know how difficult it may be for fat person to restrain themselves from eating whatever they like (like we can do).

Hello Aisa, welcome to mylot, there are many ways to gain weight. Once you are married, you may gain weight, because of many reasons. I would recommend you to go with a nutritian. =) Blessings!... Dainy

Welcome to Mylot! :) Getting married doesn't mean you will be gaining weight, maybe getting pregnant and after giving birth is possible to gain more weight but not just getting married. Anyway, maybe it's in your genes of being thin. Have you tried going to a nutritionist or a physician and ask what is best for you to do to gain weight? You should try to ask the expert for sure they can help you. I am thin and also wanting to get a little extra weight on me but like you, I have done almost everything, except the getting preggy thing, but still nothing happens. I haven't tried asking assistance from the experts yet, I think I have to love what I have now and be happy if ever I do gain a little.

Maybe your bone structure is just small. Anyway just keep on taking those vitamins and for it might help you gain a little.

wow that's actually very rarely I see discussions on people wanting to gain more weight. props to you really. some are very unaware when their image is very thin and I'm glad you are well aware of your body. if you want to gain weight there's really simpliest things that will gain you weight in a very short amount of time since gaining weight is so much easier than losing it xD so if I were about to gain more weight I'd eat candies, chocolate at about 6 or 7 pm, or any other sweets, cause then when you go to sleep those calories would not be processed and it would go all into your weight increasing. though I was thinking a bit you may not want to get 'fat', but just gain weight and still keep a healthy image, or am I wrong about that?

oh and to your discussion title question, btw you totally put two subject into this discussion, but that's ok. I think some female may gain more weight when married as it was already mentioned as they don't need to 'care' for themselves so much anymore since we do it to get attention no, excersing, losing weight etc...so they don't need that kind of attention anymore, they already got what they wanted-their husbands. though it's not true all females get 'fat' when married since some still want to keep their image, cause some are afraid they may start to seem unattractive to their husbands, so some still try to maintain it and care for themselves the way they did before either for their own health's/image's sake or just to stay as attractive as before to their husbands.

It really depends on your body structure and your metabolism I guess. I am not a dietician or health expert. There are myths though that women usually get fat when they get married but I don't personally think it is necessarily true. It depends I guess on the activities that you would have after getting married. If you are left in your kitchen or home alone everyday with much food, and you can't help your self but eat and eat and eat, then no wonder you'd get fat. But if you would be so much busy every day taking some chores and perform jobs, you will not gain much weight. I am once a very thin man. People teased me that when the wind blew strong I might be carried up in the sky, but my body started changing and I gained weight after I graduated from college. What I did was to eat and eat, I took vitamins and drunk plenty of milk. I gained weight because there's not much stress and I live in comfort. :)

i agree based on what i learn in my nutrition and diet therapy study stress is also a factor that can cause weight loss.

Yes, the activity of our brain consumes much energy that was derived from what we eat. So maybe that explains why I am so thin back in college... :)

Some ladies do gain weight when they get married. I was not one of those females. I was married, had 3 children and now 5 grandkids and am still thin. I wear the same size slacks I wore before I was married. Am very to have one of those metabolisms where weight gain is not a part of my life. Have you tried drinking milkshakes or some of the diet supplement shakes the older generation drinks? Fried foods might pack a few pounds on you too. Be thankful you are thin because it's difficult to lose once people gain weight.

Not necessarily so because there are other factors involved including lifestyle and mental attitude. I have seen fat women becoming thin after marriage, women whose weight remains the same before and after, and women who gain weight after tying the knot. - My mother remained thin until the day she passed away. - A neighbour lost a considerable amount of weight a few month after she became a wife. - My spouse is nearly double the weight compared to when I first met her. The general trend in my country seems to be women becoming more cuddly after marriage.

hello aisa, Some woman who are thin becomes fat after giving birth. I am not chubby or think back in my younger days. I never become fat during pregnancy and even after pregnancy. I have 3 kids and never gets fat for many years after giving birth of 3 kids. But,what i've observe is...when i reached my late 30's 2 years ago i started to become chubby and chubbier (nyay) At first i like it,because when i become a little fleshy,my face becomes round and i looks much younger than my age. But now i am having problem to control my weight. I am not eating much but still i am gaining weight. But like i said...i like being fleshy giving me a younger looks, but i i felt heavy,i am not used to my weight. Back to your question, just try to eat healthy foods, like fruits and more of vegetables and avoid junk foods. Also sleep more and exercise too.

Hello Aisa, There are many cases where women get fat, it depends on the situation. some people are due to a lot of vitamins, or because of they sickness, like asthma on my mom's condition.but one usual thing that makes women gain weight is after they "give birth" my sister in law gave birth last month and i noticed her tummy got weight a bit.

Hi aisa86, Hi hope you are well. I have a female friend, she has always been thin all her life, never once has she been able to put weight on. She lived with her parents, ate a load of stuuf but no weight, she then lived with her partner, she ate loads and also had 2 children and still no weight gained. Things then changed as her relationship broke down, she eventually got into another relationship, she now lives with him and in the space of a couple of years she has changed a lot. She is more happy in life and in the last 2 years she has put on 2 stone, she looks a lot better for it. She puts it down to the fact that she does still eat the same, but she is also happy and content, with her new partner and with life.

sorry, forgot to add, she does snck quite a bit and eats a full meal late at night, that way she doesn't have the time to burn of what she has eaten, this does help to put weight on. Hope this helps.

Yes friend I seen this happened with most of the women she is thin before marriage but she got more weight and fat after marriage. But this is not in each and every case. In some cases like me not loose the weight and not gain more weight as it is before marriage is also 48 and after marriage is also 48. Green vegetables is more profitable eat salad and contact your Dr. and take the vitamin tablet. tell your weight in kg

becoming fat means it will be based on the certain genes about your mother it will also come with your mother. I don't think so after marriage girls or fat that is false after the gestation period the girl become fat i think there is a lots of answers about this fatness but there are some answers for loosing weight. For girls after marriage they are not becoming fat after pregnancy they are becoming fat and they are also eat more food at that time.

Hello there aisa! welcome to mylot. You know what, most of the persons I know get fatter as they age. This is because our bodies fat deposits increase as we get older especially when they have routine activities. Some people also get fatter when they are under stress because they indulge in food most of the time. Yes, I do thing females get fat when they get married and have kids because they eat a lot to be able to do their house activities. Don't worry just enjoy your current size and as you get older and get married, you will be growing in size. :)

It's not always the case but many females get a little more weight when they get married AND when they get pregnant. Because a mother needs to keep her baby healthy, she needs to take in enough nutrients and there are additional calories required depending on what trimester a pregnant woman is. What usually happens is that some women find it hard to get back to their pre-pregnancy weight. As the person above me mentioned, it depends on a person's metabolism. You've said that you are thin and you want to gain weight. I see you've already tried vitamins, vegetbles, and lots of milk. If you have the means, the best thing is to consult a nutritionist/dietitian so that you're taking in the right amount of calories and the right kinds of food. If it's all right, you can try getting mass/muscle instead of fat and do some exercise. Along with exercise, it's great to take in protein sources so your body builds up faster.

am not particularly sure the kind of answer you want since your title for this discussion doesn't seem to remotely appear in the body of your topic. however, in response to your title as a question: female bodies change upon giving birth. it takes on curves that even if one is a small-boned female and is in her ideal weight her body is a whole lot different in a rounder nicer way than that of a woman who is in the same age, height, bone frame and weight but who hasn't yet given birth. as to the body of your discussion whether what you're doing is okay to gain weight: it is. as to why they're not working you can ask a doctor since your thyroids may not be working properly.

I was so thin my waist line was 22 inches but when I got married, my waistline's now 32. I am now about 58 kg. a mild obese and go on diet because of my high cholesterol level. I think being thin as long as you're not sickly is okay. Being fat is not healthy.

Yes. I see, women get fat after marriage. My sister, also become obese, after marriage. But I also see, many women who stay slim despite already married.

It's not the case for everyone. I had an aunt who was obese when she was single but became very fit when she got married. On the other hand, My mom, who was so thin during her younger years now has a bulging tummy and gets asked if she is pregnant all the time

No, because i myself is thin even before i go married and until now. I nothing had change with my body structure since then. but there are those who really get fat when they age. but that depends, probably because it's in the family. if some members of your family either mother or father side. don't worry about being thin because it has more advantages than being fat. Just eat the right and nutritious food and stay healthy.
