English dubbed Anime By Filipino voice actors

I kinda remember during the early 90's some anime are English dubbed but by Filipino dubbers, Despite of having Filipino dubbers, they have neutral accent that i thinik even Americans can watch them and wont notice foreigners were dubbing them.
I think most anime and Sentai shows aired in 70's 80's and some of the 90's where dubbed in English by Filipino actors. But Filipinos didnt noticed the dubbers are Filipino at all because they dont have Filipino accent. What i love about the english dub by Filipino actors Japanese related stuff, is that the acting is good.
I get to watch and the American dubbed Dragon ball and I didnt like it. I think Anime became tagalog dubbed because of Abs-cbn and GMA.
If my memory serves me right these anime where English dubbed by Filipinos:
Voltest V
Daimos
Dragon Ball
Dragonball Z (but starting from Freeza Saga it became Tagalog, some of the dubbers of the English cast retained their Jobs but many quits because theyw ere used to dubbing in English. )
Super Boink
Yaiba (it was English dubbed but it was re-aired in Tagalog.
Battle Ball

I really cant talk about the specific animes if they are dubbed by Filipinos because I dont have the facts. But true that Filipinos have a neutral accent that's why we have so many call centers based here in the PH. Other countries hire us because we are good in English.
There are a lot of animes though that are dubbed in the native language Tagalog. The stations came up w/ that so that it would be easily understood by the Filipino viewers.

Voltest V is the most notable English dubbed anime with Filipino cast, Its weird but the same actors dub the tagalog version too except from prince Zardos because his dubber is a British Guy.

I'm kinda happy that Voltest V is never aired in the states, It was will never be ruined by Hollywood....

yeah the english dubbed Dragonball z aired in the Phillipines is done by Filipino voice actors, they only started to speak tagalog when they aired in GMA 7. Half of the English cast actually dubs for the tagalog dub, I think Chichi,Bulma and Vegeta English dubbers either gets fired or quits during the tagalog dub.

Wow, I really didn't know about it. That's a nice info. I remember that at first, I didn't like the transition from English to Tagalog. But eventually, they became kinda of good. I remember the Dragon Ball anime who was reintroduced in Tagalog and it was a big hit. Even grown ups would stretch their neck trying to grab a glimpse of San Goku.(^^,)

The American dub version also sounds like a bit to cocky or boasty for Sangoku character. Because he supposed to be a bit dumb, yet brave, but pure of heart. The tagalog version gets the right mix for Sangoku's character and the others too. I didn't like before the new anime on Channel 5 in tagalog, but now, you get used to it and somehow, they really are good. (^^,)

I wasd a victim of the transition because i was so used on watching it English, The transition they did is kinda slow. First they turned it taglish and make it fully tagalog by when GMA 7 gets the right.some of the english dubbers though quits or maybe got fired after the tagalog transition. I saw the American dub of Dragonball and boy it sucks. Ththe dubbers cant act to save their lives.

I think the reason the Tagalog dub was good is because some of the original cast in the RPN-9 english dub retain their roles. I think, Bulma,Chi-chi and Vegeta are the only ones who were changed in the tagalog dub. yeah the American dub sounds to cocky, The goku there kinda sucks.... I mean Goku is very naive yet tough.

Nice observation you have here Albert. I grew up watching animes but I haven't notice that some if not most of them were dubbed by Filipinos in English but I remember that all episodes that I watched then were really amazing. Those Filipino dubbers really did a great job.

some of them are still in the business but they were doing tagalog now though its a ahrd adjustment for them because they dub in english for a long time.
