India Vs Australia - Semi-finals clash in Quarter-finals?

I think that would be very tough match between India and Australia.As we all know Team Australia is the world champion but Team India is not a piece of cake that Australia can beat them so easily.They will have to work pretty hard for it but I don't think Aussies can win the match,not even Pakis in the semi-final and not even Lankans in the final because Team India is going to win this world cup.

ya due to the tie in group B and rain in group A. the two big teams Aus and India, are going to face each other. no doubt its going to be a very big match probably bigger than a semifinal. But if India beat australia, there is a probability of another big match to happen, india vs pak. I think australia always perform well in big platforms. ponting and his teammates pick the form and perform well in big events, thats really a big advantage for the team. on the other hand India always have a fear factor of performance in big stages and the home crowd will be make the pressure double on the match. surely the pressure will be there even if india bats first or second. but if batting second then the chances for india to getting into the semi is very less. If dhoni wins the toss he should choose to bat first and make the opposition to chase the target using the good crowd support. And the pitch will be another factor, I heard that some grass has been left on the pitch, if its like that then it will be a drawback for indians and advantage for australia. because surely australian seam bowlers are better than indian fast bowlers. And indian team depend more on spinners. anyway I am thrilled to watch this big contest. Lets watch the big fight.

India is going to win this match. Australians are not as strong as they used to be and England has beaten them in Ashes, so their moral is not very high and rest of job was done by Pakistan to beat them. We will all pray for India's win.

Hi stardustcdsd, I am surprised that you still count India heavy weight in this world cup. India has played only 3 matches against regular teams in this world cup and not even once they batted through their 50 overs. About bowling less said is better. Even a team like bangladesh can make nearly 300 against them. It would be a big miracle if India does anything in KO stages if they play like this. I know cricket is a game full of miracles. So lets hope we do some miracles.

This game is surely going to be interesting. Since aussies have recently lost to Pakistan and that also so badly, they would be looking for a win. And if India has to win the cup then India has to defeat Australia. Well lets hope for the best and enjoy the game :)

Oh god,really this match should final or atleast semi final.Anyways India have some advantages over australia for this game but You know aussies are known for thier fight back after loosing game and never die attitude.Oh god please let us win this game because it would be probably Sachin's last worldcup.I am very worried about this match as Sehwag enjured and we also don't have perfect bowling line up.Hopefully we will overcome this weakpoints and this match.BEST OF LUCK TO TEAM INDIA.

You are very right they must have meet in semis or final but it doesn't matter we going to see a better fight from both side and match will be a stunner. It would be the batsmen game as INDIAn bowler lack the pace of comptetion to aussies counterpart. The team who bat well and perform better in field will win.

Dear Stardust, It will be a good match for sure. I feel that India will hold the advantage if it is a slow pitch. But one cannot hide the fact that the Australians are big match players...So it will be foolish to take them lightly. It would be wonderful if Indian team with Sachin Tendulkar in it can win the world cup. He has been an inspiration to all cricket lovers all around the world. I just hope the team applies a little bit more and at least bats out the whole 50 overs.. (:P) All hopes on a good match.... Share your views... Balu
