it's a gloomy day, do you like it when it's rainy or does it make you blue/grey?

It is a gloomy gray day, and it follows yet another gloomy grey day. Most people tend to be changable both like the weather and at the weather. Gloomy weather often precipitates gloomy moods and thoughts for a lot of people. Me I am full of energy, cleaning my house and zipping through my "to do" liost at lightening speed. It doesn't rain all that often here in the desert, we have maybe 8 cloudy days a year, 120 days where there is even a single lonely cloud in the sky, and maybe 3-5 days of rain. Our annual average is .8" per year. You wouldn't think that that would be enough to cause flooding but the desert is just not built for rainy wet weather. I love it! It is a rather brisk 61 degrees farenheit outside, which to me is a bit on the cool side, but fortunately I don't live out there I live in here where it is a bit warmer and less windy and wet. Rain just envigorates me, the last time we had a huge lightening and thunder storm I set my camera on video and recorded it for 45 minutes. It was beautiful, awesome, and impressive. Nothing depressing or dull about it! Do you like rain storms? What is the climate like where you live? How much rain do you get?

Rain doesn't bother me all that much. I have things to do whether it rains or not. It always makes my daughter gloomy though. She functions but she has a short fuse on those days and it's kind of freaky but when she's sad it seems that's the day it rains. It's wierd sometimes how the weather can match a person's mood sometimes.

I quite like it, I am not keen on hot weather so as long as I don't have anything that has to be done outdoors, I quite like it especially since we here in Australia have just come out of a long drought, I appreciate the water we need so much.

I often don't think about the nature of the day until my wife points it out. Likewise, I may enjoy a pleasant, sunny day, but I am just as likely to not be jumping up and down about it.

I don't mind the rain when we get it moderation,as we really need it here as it was so dry. When it is torrential rain like it was a few days ago it was very gloomy and hard to get around, so I guess you tend to get a bit gloomy yourself. At the moment here it is about 29 degrees and a bit muggy, and the weather is a bit unpredictable and we expect to get rain and storms for the next few days. Cheers Sue
