How to make yourself a better citizen

As Filipino Citizen, it is for us to develop certain traits and attributes so that we can be worthy of the name. We should realize that as Filipino citizen, we not only possess certain rights and privileges but we also have duties to discharge. The basic requirement of being a good better citizens are faith in God, love of country, obedience of law and authority, respect for parents, industry and frugality, honesty and truthfulness, cleanliness, chastity and purity, cooperation, respect for tradition and mission in life.

Contribute and get involve ourselves in small community first like barangay,homeowners association, extending to the city then the country.Putting GOD in our heart as we serve makes the most of our desire to be a good citizen in helping one another. Participate in choosing our leader and be watchful in all activities they are doing.

The traits you mention are very important to all Filipinos out there. That is why we are know hospitable because of the attitude that we learned from our parents, schools like Values Education and so on. Many foreigners love our attitude and culture because we are different from any other even we are not in our country. Wherever we are still our traits and attitude still there. We will not forget those traits everytime we mingle other people or nationalities.
