Maybe as viable as Michael Steele was for the conservative party! You are talking about the Herman Cain who stumps on the fundraising political circuits now ... the Herman Cain who is said to be an apologist for the white racist who he says denied him entry to the Uni. of Georgia based on his race, even though he ranked second in his high school class. The Herman Cain who seems to be dealing from the bottom of the "race card" deck on behalf of the Republican party? That Herman Cain?
Reportedly, in New Hampshire when he made a case for his presidential candidacy he stated: "There are some people who will say, I'm not going to vote for another black guy because this one didn't work out." "And my response is, well, what about those 43 white guys you put in there? How did they work out? Don't condemn me bacause the first black one was bad." Other statements being contributed to Herman Cain are: "black folks are on a Democratic plantation" and "liberals are slave-catchers of black people." Matt Lewis of the conservative Daily Caller web site recently conducted an interview with Herman Cain, Cain's narrative made for very good listening to tea party GOP. It is stated that his narrative is much like other conservatives, he is an island unto himself -- separate from social structures and institutions, with exceptions ... his success rests solely on the shoulders of the many nameless people who struggled and marched so he could fully realize his freedom and citizenship.

This is the reason Cain will be a target in 2012 - racist liberals who have called him "monkey in the window" and say he is performing for his white supremacist masters. It's people who insist that a black man must be of a particular political party, may only hold particular views, or he is not really black.
I know you don't read The Daily Caller so I am sure you read the article on Think Progress about the interview with Matt Lewis that both Herman Cain and Lewis have already said is based on a complete lack of comprehension. Think Progress saw it through their own racist eyes.
It's despicable for people to try to make all black people think alike, vote alike and support what white liberals think they should support.
Herman Cain's success rests on the strength of the man's hard work. No one built up his business for him, no one got him through school. This kind of calumny must not be allowed to stand.

Geez, Rollo ... is that what he was called? I didn't hear that ... it's all bad!
I read everything I get my hands on Rollo ... I read lots of independent reporting and even your own conservative blogs, and commentary. I think knowing both sides helps in making informed decisions ... don't you?
Exactly what is Herman Cain's platform ... would you know? From what I've read, his platform is the same tried, tested and epic fail of the republican party.

Gladys, Cain is a conservative Republican. I don't expect you to agree with his policies. But I don't think you will disagree with his policies because of his race, any more than I disagree with Obama's policies because of his race. Basically, you are a liberal and I am a conservative. We will disagree on policy but I hope we both appreciate character and neither of us would disparage someone on the basis of ethnicity or race.
I do like Cain. His website is here:

Herman Cain is a successful conservative who is also black. The media will crucify him, as the liberals are already attempting to do.
I like Cain. He has undeniable success in the private sector, understands the struggle necessary to achieve the American dream, has good and solid conservative values and is a leader. I think he would be a viable candidate if the liberals were not so racist as to try to vilify a black man who is not a liberal. They don't understand people thinking for themselves.

I agree with you. Cain seems to be a sharp, hard working man who could do a lot to help his country in the presidency. Thanks for your comments.
