who is great player sir sachin tendulkar or ricky ponting?

there is no point of asking such question.you can not compare sachin to any other cricket player.if you ask this question to anyone in the world the answer would be same SACHIN IS GOD.

Hi Suyash, What a question yaar?How can one compare Sachin Tendulkar with Ricky Ponting?Sachin Tendulkar is absolutely incomparable.He is such a great player such that he doesn't any introduction.Whether it may be terms of his sportsmanship or regarding his code of conduct in the field or outside the cricket ground.He is absolutely prefect.Both these batsman's dedication towards the game was very much evident in the past few games this world cup itself.

Hi Suyash091! Sachin has not yet Knighted so using Sir is may be your Optional Choice. And to be frank by now this comparing a person to others has taken a meaningless direction. Actually why do we compare two people? To make one greater than the other? To belittle one? Actually every human being has his own strengths and weaknesses. And don't forget that behavior comes from the culture and the environment a person grows up in. So there is no point in making Ponting belittle because he stood and waited for umpire to take a decision. Sachin has some stupendous qualities but Ponting too has his won terrific qualities. So in my opinion comparing these two players is meaningless as they are from different countries, different cultures and different environment. Happy Mylotting!

Dear Suyash....! The categories for comparison are not fair on Ponting... Well Sachin is a better player. A better batsman, a better bowler, Well fielding is something that Ponting is better than Sachin. But mind you, Sachin is a good fielder himself. he still has a rocket arm from the boundary. Speaking about sportsman spirit... Ponting definitely does not have any. I mean Ponting refused to walk after getting an edge (even in this age of UDRS :P). So no point talking about that. Character is the next category that you have mentioned.... Well Ponting likes to abuse and shout even at his own team mates. (Ask Brett Lee and Smith) Sachin likes to make his bat do the talking. So i do not think it is fair to compare Ponting to Sachin on the categories you have mentioned. BUT... if you want Ponting to win in something, you will have to widen the categories...You must add Drinking, Bar Fighting, Gambling, In these given talents, Ponting will be the winner hands down....!!!!!
