All My Children to be Canceled?

The news media are reporting that ABC should be making the announcement soon that they are canceling All My Children.
Do you watch the show? Are you upset about the possibility of a cancellation?
I've watched the show for over 20 years and the quality has really gone downhill. I don't watch it every day like I used to. It will be sad if it's cancelled but I won't miss it.

Yes, that's what's being relayed by the media. It was reported that AMC has had over 2 weeks of the lowest ratings. ABC is supposed to make the announcement tomorrow (Wednesday).

Don't think so. Susan Lucci(Erica) was just on the morning talk shows saying she had been assured by the powers that be that it was going to be on for several years at least. Also, it would make little sense to move it to CA and then cancel it right after that.

Well ABC didn't make the announcement, so it does appear AMC is safe for a while. Their ratings have been awfully low though, so who knows how safe the show really is.

Everyone, you heard it here first! Here's the link to ABC's announcement regarding the cancellation of not just All My Children, but also One Life to Live!
AMC will have it's final broadcast in September, OLTL in January 2012.

I remember when All My Children first aired. It was fun and interesting then but you're right about the quality going down. I've not watched it for some time now and won't miss it. All of the soaps seem to have deteriorated. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all discontinued.
