My frist grandson was born in our local hospital at 1.00am EST on the 16th of March, exactly two weeks ago. I lost for words and my warms tears of joy rolled freely down my cheek, Having no words to say, I mummbles. " welcome my son" to an innocent angelic face looking to me in the secured arms of her mother, my daughter inlaw. I just think of what life is about at time where child is born to my family and this child will not only continue the family name and traditions etc, but he is the next generation that God creates to continue the human spices. What is my job then was to me to be a good grandfather and help this young body to grow to be a person God intended him to be. I'd like to hear from mylotters' who just became grannies for the first time to share their experiences.

Hi, Congratulation to you, being a grandma and I believe you feel very happy with the arrival of your first grandson. My son is also the first grandchild for my husband's family. And my mother-in-law was very happy to wait for his arrival. Even my parents were happy to see his arrival to this wonderful world. My parents love my son very much.ALthough we are living far apart, but we do always keep in touch and we will go back to visit my parents once a year.

Dear friend, I congratulate you for your grandson. I know the feeling and may God bless you, your family and specially your grandson. A new child is a moment of joy and the biggest miracle one can witness: the miracle of life. I am sure you will fullfill the expectations as granfather. Every child needs a good person near him teaching him values by just being near and showing him with their example. I know you will excell in this. God bless.
