Cars 2 may be delayed due to plagiarism

Where are you getting this information? There's absolutely nothing in the news about any such deal. Also, Pixar can't "plagiarize" the animation for Cars. Well technically they could, but that would mean they were stealing animated frames and models from other animated films. Since there are no other well-known studios that have produced films like Cars, I highly doubt they've stolen models from anyone. If they were stealing from lesser-known companies then they would be downgrading the animated technology, and I doubt they would do that. Forget downgrading the technology, I just doubt they would sink to such a dishonest level. Plagiarism means literally taking someone else's work and claiming it as your own. They could plagiarize scripts, animation models, or sound design bits. But if you're accusing someone of plagiarism just because their idea is similar to someone else's... then you're in the wrong. Ideas are not protected by copyright law... expressions of ideas are.

Oh, that's too sad. I really want to see Cars 2 too. I'm excited to see the returning characters and there are actors in the film that I like. I like Tony Shalhoub (Luigi), John Turturro (Bernouli, new character I believe), Joe Mantegna (Grem, new), and Peter Jacobson (Acer, new). Too bad we'll have to wait longer.

I hope that's not true. My son really enjoys the cars movie and i was going to get him the sequel asap. This isnt fair on the real creator either.

Hi katie: I haven't watched cars but I know a lot of kids will feel sad after this. However I like the designs of the film cars. Hopefully Disney/Pixar will proof that they're innocent or in case the creator has stolen the idea, they'll have to pay for it but Cars 2 will be released. ALVARO

No! I want to see Cars 2! I love this movie and I am waiting it since I saw the first part. I don't care if they took the ideas from somebody else, I just want to see the movie!
