I posted a while ago about my foster brother being in jail and I am just thinking. He has no family, and no one to come see him. He has no one. He is now in a mental hospital and he is 15 and will be here untill he is 18. So that means 3 years of no visits, no passes, nothing. So I am just thinking right now, should I feel sorry for him because he has nobody? Or should i just think that he put it on himself? Because in a way, he did put it on himself. What should I do?

From what you say you can't visit him and feeling sorry for him will perhaps not help him. Hope that he does well there and when he gets out be there for him. However, also show him that life needs to move forward and he has to do his fair share to put this behind him and look forward to a better future. I don't see any point in feeling sorry because you certainly do not want to enable him in the future with continual problems with the law. Best of luck!

I think you answered your own question, you obviously think that "he put it on himself". Are you sure you just aren't feeling guilty for thinking that? (sorry for being harsh) The last thing he needs is pity, you said yourself that he has no one, if you really feel for him and the trouble that he's in reach out to him, be there for him anyway you can, letters or something, anything to let him know that you care.
