are you crazy about taking pictures of yourself?

With the advent of mobile phones with camera, I can see a lot of young people who, all of a sudden, strike a pose in the middle of any event just to take pictures of themselves whether alone or with friends. I do not relish this kind of hobby or habit as I find it embarrassing to be trying to smile beautifully while you take pictures of yourself in various poses. Isn't that embarrassing? For me, sometimes I think they look crazy looking at the camera and trying to look cute. What do you think of that?

Maybe one day they will get tired of posing and taking pictures. It is because of Facebook. They want friends to see how nice they pose.

I'm not that crazy taking picture kind of woman. I did take picture of myself but rarely in public because I feel embarrassing to.. you know.. smile and pose.. in front of other people. but I don't mind to people who crazy of smiling and posing and take picture of their-self in public. it's their right. as long as they don't bother me :)

When you are traveling with that person, sometimes it can be bothersome you know, because you need to stop too when she wants to take a pose. You can't just go and leave her and sometimes she will also ask you to be in that picture even if you don't like it, so it bothers you.

Personally I have always wondered why so many people do this. I would never consider taking a picture of myself like this for anyone else to see whether on here, Facebook, etc. I do not even usually allow others even to use my Camera or theirs to take pictures of me for something. That is why my profile picture on here is over 4 yrs. old even.

It is fun! try it someday! I don't know i just love pictures really, feels like i wanna document myself from every second, everywhere i go. I wanna take something as a remembrance. Just one is fine... But I don't do that in public. I mean i know how to control myself too. And i wanted to do it, not by "me picturing myself" rather i want the idea of others taking picture of me. And sometimes, it is really creeping suddenly seeing someone next to you taking pictures of them and trying to look cute. So what i do, i offer myself to take a picture of her.

I don't really like other people taking pictures of me. Therefore, it would hazard a guess that I would not really like taking pictures of myself. A lot of those people who try to look good in pictures, often look a bit absurd when you think about it. Therefore, it is a level of amusement, I do admit that. So they can feel free to take as many pictures as they want, in the most absurd situations, because it will give me a laugh. Yeah, though, I hate having pictures of myself taken. I never really look good in pictures. That is really an understatement. I really do look like someone is really absurd and I can think about about three or four pictures I ever looked really good. Some people were born photogenic I guess and others like me, were rather not so much so.

I never took a picture of myself, and I do not like to take a pose for a photo. Since we have cameras with our phones we all tend to take more photos and to send them to friends. Maybe they believe that their friends would like to have these pictures ? I think is a fashion among teenagers today and that it will pass over time -- I hope so for them --.

Ouch. Your words hit me really hard there. Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. My friends often refer to me as "camwhore" because I always take pics of myself with my my mobile phone. It's just vanity, you know. For me, it's just one way to feel good about myself, you know, when I take really good pictures of myself and have other people praise me for it, more like feeding my ego. LOL. Maybe you can try it sometimes, and it's not that embarassing anymore, since almost everyone's doing it. :)

hello cutie! i always notice most of teenagers here in our place who does that thing. They act like there's no tomorrow that they keep on projecting themselves no matter how public the place they are in. i wonder why all of a sudden most people nowadays does that. They tend to pose wherever they get a chance to take pictures of themselves. It's like there's an addiction of taking pictures of themselves. Well, like most people say, live life as if there's no tomorrow and the best things in life are best enjoyed with taking photos so you'll remember yourself when you are old enough that you have been happy taking those pictures of yourself.

I'm not a photogenic person so I don't do this at all. I love taking pictures as long as I'm not in it. Most of the pictures I take are about nature, animals and events and rarely for me to be in it.

i envy someone who is very photo-genetic, i always feel very strange, and my expression,oh no, i really don't want to talk about it. Hehe, it's ok for me if someone is crazy about taking pictures of themselves, you know, life is shot, we should try our best to grasp some good moment
